Like Rob said, we have our own breed of bass in Australia. Apparently they are quite different to American bass, though they seem to look quite similar. They are only found on the east coast (QLD, NSW & VIC), where we have a number of stocked lakes, dams and rivers.
The reason this catch was so outrageously awesome is because I usually only fish salt water with baits, but recently I got into fresh water fishing with lures. I've been hitting this lake near my house for about a month now, and must have clocked up a good 20-30 hours fishing there, and yesterday finally caught my first fucken fish! Haha, that's determination and persistance for ya. So this was not only my first fresh water fish, but also my first fish taken on a lure, and what better way to do it than with a good size bass! Exciting times, haha.
i rather get shot than get bum rushed by Bronz.
