I just started reading the Blackest Night series...I bought 1-6. So far it I like it alot...cool stuff. Has anyone read any of the other Blackest Night titles like Flash, JSA, Wonder Woman, etc? If so any recommendations.
well read GL before anything...then GLC, besides that ive read the first issue of flash BN, Superman/Batman tie ins, and the Adventure comics tie in.
and also one issue each of Batman and Supermans blackest night minis.
i just wish they could have a little permanent forward progression. i mean, let people stay dead. let new guys take over identities and keep them permanently. i dont know. i guess i'm just done with crossovers after blackest night & siege. even though they're both good as far as storytelling.
and as for the bn tie ins, batman was pretty good. so were titans, flash & wonder woman (so far). jsa might be worth checkin. and the suicide squad/ secret six, shazam & booster gold issue tie ins were pretty good stories.. it wont kill ya to miss 'em, but if you want a little entertainment those might be worth getting, however you go about getting your comics. lol
the only ones tie ins i'm reading are the green lantern and the corps...what were the superman and batman minis about?

genius..must have slipped right under my radar, but apparantly (unless ur as clueless as myself) ull have noticed, DC "resurrected" canceled titles for idk how many issues..maybe one...for BN tie ins..zombie comics? about zombies? lmao..ahh man.
the atom and hawkman one was very good, the catwoman one was decent, and the phantom stranger one was awful....those are the only ones i checked out...i thought it was a fairly clever idea, especially since there's no issue of blackest night out this month.
I can't get enough of the Blackest Night run!! After reading all Blackest Night, GL, GLC associated with it I decided to read some of the tie ins. Today I picked up Flash 1,2 and atom and hawkman. I'll probably pick up others tomorrow...I'm hooked!!

Just got through reading Amazing Spidey The Gauntlet run so far. I haven't read spidey in years and I have to say this current run is good. I hope it stays that way...there's not much in Marvel I've been feeling since I got back into the whole comic scene. So if you guys get a chance check out ASM 612-619...pretty entertaining.
yeah spidey been getting better at times. i still dont know if i'll be buying any issues tho... besides any ones with deadpool on the cuv.

ya i heard ultimate x was good too...i don't know, i've never read anything by loeb that i thought was well written by any means...and i've read all the stuff he did with tim sale (sale's the best) and i've found all of his writing derivative and brain damaged even at it's best and most enjoyable...i enjoyed his superman/batman stuff as just mindless pop trash lol
