Sorry about that. It is pretty good.
Quest For Fire (1981)
Pretty dope movie with Ron Perlman & Rae Dawn Chong about a prehistoric tribe. They got some of the period details wrong but on the whole its a cool movie. I don't know why nobody else has bothered to make a film about prehistory, its a fascinating period.
escape room, its like a og version of saw.
Friends is still cool.
It's funny how they did an episode in season 6 going back to how they first met, trying to look a couple years younger, and Chandler's head is still huge.
Haha, its always cringey when sitcoms go back in time. One time it was actually funny was Danny DeVito as a young man in Always Sunny, and it was just him in a wig lol.
I, Tonya (2017)
Dope movie. A tragicomic biopic of disgraced skater Tonya Harding. Its put together in a clever way with competing alternative narratives and really funny characterizations.
Mandy (2018)
Psychedelic thriller directed by auteur Panos Cosmatos. Nicolas Cage's hammy, ridiculous schtick actually works here. He plays a woodcutter whose wife gets abducted by a cult. He naturally takes drugs and goes on a murder spree.
Watching the most recent seasons of Always Sunny and South Park. Its actually amazing that these shows are still so funny and unpredictable.
blade runner 2049, one of the most boring movies i started watching lately, i turned it off.
I don't think South Park are trying to be preachy, because they've always said they don't want to do that. In the end its difficult to tackle certain subjects without taking a stance on them. Usually their take on it is that liberals and conservatives are both dumb reactionary groups. But I can understand some people not liking the superiority complex that's inherent in that philosophy.
If you think its preachy I think you're probably reading too much into it. They've tackled news and modern culture for a long time now.
I get nostalgic for the first 5-6 seasons, those are classic. After that they started getting more political/topical, but still pretty random.
I think the Trump/Garrison thing was overkill. When Trump behaves more bizarrely than a South Park character, you know its not the best topic for them to go after. And it was too obvious for them, although it had some funny moments.
It would be great if they made some more movies. Team America is one of the greatest comedy films ever made.
Watching a documentary about Chris Chan right now. I knew the guy was a weird fuck, but the details are just insane. You won't see this on Netflix.

on episode 2 of Chernobyl on HBO. So far very good
Chernobyl. Excellent mini-series which was well directed and acted. Also incredibly informative a must watch.
Yeah I'm getting into Chernobyl. First episode is already great, as soon as the reactor core starts leaking people start melting and vomiting up their kidneys.
The show Barry is worth watching. Very smart mix of Comedy and Thriller and Stephen Root is fucking great in it.

2001 a space odyssey. think i beat my own record for falling asleep during a movie.
I have been watching a series on FX called Pose. What a lovely show, I highly suggest it.
someone was telling me that they liked annihilation. that movie is trash. a bland feminist getaway of crap.
Episode 4. I'll give it another try.
sha, no need to be coy. lol i fell asleep numerous times during that crappy movie. don't you identify as a feminist yourself? maybe that's why you're blind to the feminist utopia it represented.
I agree with brock, that movie blew.
you come off as a pretentious prick. not surprising since you're a jeff goldblum fan. waving stylish set pieces around doesn't create an exciting movie and a masterpiece
Oldboy - This is supposed to be classic but I didn't like it. The plot is highly ridiculous, and the acting was really hammy and unbelievable. What's amazing is that supposedly Spike Lee made a remake of this thats even worse. I don't know how its possible.
the night of. does this show start to pick up? it started off alright, then it went into a slow spell. the most exciting thing in episode 2 was the dude's athlete's feet. they got this bumb actor from the transformers movies in it.
^ Better Call Saul is great, although its a different style from BB. Has anyone seen 'I Am Mother'? Its on Netflix and supposed to be a decent Sci-Fi flick. I need more good Sci-Fi to watch, the last Black Mirror season wasn't great apart from the Striking Vipers episode.
I watched the Solo Star Wars flick last night, which wasn't bad at all if you like Star Wars. Some of the visual sequences are among the best in any of those films, I guess the SFX is just so much easier to do well than it was 40 or even 20 years ago.
if you're thinking of my mother the car, thats more of a comedy than sci fi.
Yeah Better Call Saul was nice. Forgot about that. That's the last series I've enjoyed.
I feel like rewatching Sopranos.
Weirdly, I watched a different movie with mother in the title.
This is an odd film. A compelling piece of art.
