How do you feel about the NFL's new playoff overtime rules?
Is the NFL becoming College Football? It certainly will be a lot more interesting watching a coach decide between a 40 yard field goal or 4th and 1 in the first possession of overtime, but they could have changed the rules and still kept it sudden death, why the need for more possessions is beyond me.
Here's a much better idea. Forget the kickoff. Have the team that wins the coin toss either choose to start at their own 10 or play defense. This benefits both offensive and defensive minded teams, puts real pressure on the offense to simply gain field position, and cuts down on the coin toss luck factor.
Or here's another idea, ban field goals in overtime. You wanna see a grind? That shit would be fun to watch.
