Yeah they sold Lúcio then Demichelis got injured, the defence is shakey but van Gaal is still saying the team is pretty much in pre season and they've played rubbish in their first three games with Altintop and Olic probably the only standouts.Quote:

johnson can only play right back
lescott left back n centre back.. and he scores goals. plus he is as solid as ferdinand.
but you would have to have watched everton play the last 3 seasons to appreciate that, and not go off media reports

Lescott will not run forward, down wings... he will not cross the ball.
he will score from a lucky corner, he doesnt possess the attacking skill johnson does.
could you really see lescott breaking down the wing and then whipping in a sick ball in the box.

he also defended a clean sheet on his Anfield debut.
Lescott is a centre back... if he is running down the wing, he is out of position and stopping a far more skillful person from delivering the ball in.

2007-2008 9 goals for lescott, and 6 assists ( playing as an ATTACKING LEFT BACK ALL SEASON) he wasnt out of position. as we had yobo and stubbs as centre backs, he wasnt out of position lol as he was playing left back
last season he got 7 league goals. i cant recall the amount of assists.

he is more creative attacking wise.. but
lescott is a better central defender.
and a better defending full back, lescott can play 2 positions., while johnson can just play one. that is why lescott cost more than johnson.
nah, he cost more because the club that bought him has stupid money to splash around.
