Part 2 will be more of the same, chael will spend more time talking shit instead of bucking up on sub defense loose then challenge Anderson to a hell in a cell match.

JDS peed in Cains butt. TBH, Brock and Overeem are better suited to fucking eachother in the ass than trying to tango with JDS

Awesome fight. My boy Rashad probably lost the next shot at the title after that war between Hendo and Shogun.

that was one of the best fights ive seen in a long while. i was certain the ref would stop it at multiple points, but he didnt and he gets mad props for that. i scored it 3-2 henderson, but i thought the judges would go draw. they didnt and im glad. id like to see henderson eventually get 1 more title shot but i dont think he could muster that kind of effort again. retire on the high note old man

I know some are going to refuse to rank this fight among other fights (right now) due to nostalgia of past UFC/PRIDE matches, but I'll ignore all of that and say Shogun/Henderson is one of best matches I've ever seen. And this is coming from a guy who religiously watches UFC, PRIDE (R.I.P.), WEC (R.I.P.), Sengoku, Strikeforce, and DREAM.

This match seriously had everything I love about MMA. I wanted Shogun to win, and certainly thought the judges could've swung the fight in his favor (or a draw), but I can see where they could say Henderson won 3 out of 5 rounds too.Epic battle that I won't forget.

It's going to get overlooked because of how good Hendo/Shogun was, but Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler had an amazing fight in Bellator too. Alvarez ended up losing his belt in a hell of a battle. Two fight of the year candidates on the same night.

There's no doubt that Shogun has the heart of a champion! He hung in there against devastating shots for 3 rounds and wore Henderson out. unfortunately for him, Henderson also has the heart of a champion and hung in while being exhausted and beat on for the final 2 rounds. Again, it was just fuckin epic!

Agreed. That's also in my top 5 best fights of 2011 (with Hendo/Shogun still being on top).

I hate to agree with Dana, but I understand his point of how "I'd be worried" had the Hendo/Shogun fight been FOX's introduction to MMA. As much as it WAS one of the best fights I've ever seen, my gut tells me that the FOX brass would do dumb shit like add delays, perhaps ask for akward camera angles, etc when brutal shots took place had that match been been the INTRODUCTION of MMA to their national channel. I do think that we, meaning most who post on here, are "fans" of MMA and are a bit desensitized to alot of what we see on the screen. From the perspective of someone who has never watched MMA before (and trust me, there are more people that haven't than you think, and a lot MORE channel surfers than you think) a lot of them may have been turned off by aspects of the Hendo/Shogun fight.
