Its sad because everyone anyone in boxing could easily pinpoint the leeching pricks that occasionaly make the sport into a joke (this fight for instance, should not have happened), but no one can do anything about it.



As for floyd v mosely, idk about this fight. It could be a good fight to watch, but Shane is 38 now. If you'd have said Shane vs Floyd would be a PPV showtime event after he got beat by Cotto, and that Cotto would be no where to be seen, people wouldve laughed.

It's a shame what effect that Margorito cement fist fight had on Cotto. He hasnt been the same since that. I think those punches have taken something away from him. Cotto - Floyd was the fight to happen after that.

Where do you all stand on the debate that Manny is an all time great based on his achievements already? Personally, I see him as a beatable foe when put in against the right guy; Mayweather will beat him, as would Mosley, P Will (bit harsh to throw him in as he's a beast at the weight), and possibly even Berto.

I don't wanna be too harsh on Manny as he's great for boxing and there's no denying he's a great, entertaining fighter, but I feel he's slightly overrated. He did what he had to last night, and although Clottey was disappointing, he still landed some decent punches to stay in there.

Assuming Manny isn't cheating, I'll give him his props as an all-time great. If Cotto, Oscar, Hatton are shot fighters then a guy like Pacman should have made them look bad (which he did). I wouldn't pick between a fight with Mayweather right now, but I'll say that ANYONE is beatable. Paul Williams has a legitimate loss & also almost lost vs. Martinez. Mayweather almost lost vs. Castillo I & De La Hoya. Berto hasn't beaten or even been in a fight of this caliber yet ( he's strong but he sorta reminds me of Jermain Taylor), as for Mosley we will see how young or old he looks vs. Mayweather.

Assuming Manny isnt cheating, I'll given him his props as an all-time great if he beats Floyd.

Mosley wouldn't be able to beat pacquiao, and Berto would get demolished by pacman. The paul williams size advantage is unfair, but i do believe mayweather can beat pacquiao

Clottey is out of the way now, leaving Pacman, Mosley, Mayweather (I'm leaving Williams out for now because I think he's supposed to fight Kermit Cintron at 154) to hopefully settle the business at 147 by the end of the year. Leaving Berto as the prime challenge for next year. I just hope Money & Mosley's fight is more entertaining than Saturday's bout. Somehow I see Mayweather taking pot shots at Mosley & Mosley chasing & swinging & missing all night long giving Mayweather a workmanlike UD.

I can see Kell Brook being a major contender in the Welterweight division in a couple of years.

well yeah since he was reaching the end of his physical 160 lb peak.
so ok he lost to jermain taylor, both were controversial but B-hop still had juice left in him.Destroyed Tarver. He beat winky wright ( taylor managed a draw). Beat calzaghe (its an illusion to think that calzaghe won, if JC won then boxing needs to die and everybody should watch MMA. HE MADE LOVE TO PAVLIK while pavlik was at his prime, nobody thought B-hop could win that fight but he wu-massacred kelly.

where does CHAD DAWSON fit in? bernard doesnt need dawson, how much money will that fight make? Personally, I can see Mitchell coming unstuck against better fighters. Granted, he's improved a lot since these last couple of years (he was lucky not to get knocked out in a few of his other fights because his defence fucking sucked), but when he starts stepping up against the likes of Guerro, Martinez, Valero, Marquez, and possibly even Katsidis, I can see him getting exposed. The two British fighters I'm most impressed with, who aren't currently world champions, are Kell Brook and Martin Lindsay.

Yeah, I know what you mean, angry. Thing is though, at the time I actually really liked Margarito as a fighter because it was obvious he had worked hard to get where he was, especially with everyone around his weight class avoiding him. To me, he was one of those rugged, hungry Mexican warriors that was great for the sport of boxing, and although he destroyed one of my favourite ever fighters right in front of me whilst I was nearly crying (sounds gay I know) with thousands of crazy Mexicans around me going wild, I still liked and respected him.

However, after I found out he'd been loading his gloves (post-Mosley fight), all my respect for him just depleted to the point where I fucking hated his sorry ass. I must've watched the Mosley-Margarito fight like five times since then, awesome stuff.

Yeah, the Klitschko's have been in some dull as hell fights, but I have to respect them for fighting and beating the best and conducting themselves in a really professional way whilst still making stupid money. People can say what they will against these Ukranian brothers, but they're good for boxing.

Mosley has a shot going into any fight, he's just that good; it'd be dangerous betting against him even if he fought a cruiserweight. Personally, though, I can see Floyd taking a points victory but it ain't gonna be easy for him one bit, in fact, it's probably gonna be Money's hardest fight yet. Fights like this are great for boxing but hard for a guy like me who loves both fighters equally, it still ain't gonna stop me from jetting to Vegas to see it though, lol.

i dont see mosley beating floyd. Shane beat the hell out of margo but floyd wont stand and trade all night long, shanes stamina and workrate WILL be tested in order to land sufficient punches to win the fight. But floyds defence will slowly ware mosley out, i can see mosley being potshotted and outboxed in the late rounds of the fight. That's cool you say that, angry, but the kids I grow up around know fuck all about boxing. The only people I get a true boxing conversation with is my dad and cats online; for example, some kid was willing to bet his life that Tyson was fighting professionally at the same time as Ali and another thinks Amir Khan is an all time great???? Lmfao.

No doubt Mosley has the power to drop Floyd, but it ain't gonna be easy for him to land whatsoever, Mayweather's defence is one of the best of all time. However, Money ain't gonna be able to slide, run, and evade for the full fight because Mosley just does not stop, he's a fucking machine, he ain't gonna stop even if he's lost every single round; just look at the Mayorga fight, he fucking pulled it back in the last few seconds to deliver a peach of a left hook to end the fight Rocky style. You can never rule him out.

I'm not sure if I can see this fight being a "war" as such in the vain of Holmes-Norton, Hagler-Hearns, Gatti-Ward(s), Klitschko-Lewis etc. etc. as that won't work in Floyd's favour whatsoever, but there are gonna be periods when Floyd gets hit hard and backed up to the ropes, so we'll see how he deals with it.

As for the Clottey thing, what a fucking joke. I was telling people exactly what would happen months before the first bell: Clottey would throw fuck all each round and get beaten on a wide points decision. Did you hear his interviews before the fight?? "If I lose, I'm not gonna lose like Pac's other opponents"... tell me that ain't somebody who thinks he's gonna get defeated. I wouldn't say it was fixed, angry, I just think Clottey wanted to pick up his $3 million with the least amount of trouble as possible.

Yeah, we've had the PPV parties as well for the likes of Hatton and Haye, but beyond those names they don't have a clue what's going on. I agree with what you say about the glory days but I never rated Benn that much, and Eubank was good but not great. If they ever fought Herol Graham, they would've been picked apart.

Although I think it's safe to say that Lennox Lewis is the greatest British fighter of all time, anybody who says Calzaghe knows nothing.

A lot of my friends hated Lennox, but i thought he was great. He avenged his losses.

As for Clottey, the reason he doesn't get knocked out is because of what we saw vs. Pacman. He did the same vs. Cotto at the end of their fight, & then starts crying because he feels he gets robbed. He has to learn how to close the show, which means taking chances, like Pacman, & even Cotto. Though he would of done good damage to Pacman if he opened up more, I also believe he probably would've gotten knocked out.

As for boxing in general, it needs to clean its act up. Too many champs (WBC, IBF, WBA, IBO, WBO, etc.), interim champs, Super champs, it's beyond silly. Have one recognized champ per division. Too many weight divisions IMO. Super this, Jr. that, go back to the old original weight classes. Add better undercards to PPV events, I know wrestling is fake but at least their fans get a few stars per event. MMA is starting to surpass boxing in popularity, maybe it's time that boxers learn from them.

Who else is hyped up for Marquez-Vasquez 4? Unlike the Pacman/Clottey and, likely, the PBF/Mosley fights this one is GUARANTEED fireworks for as long as it lasts. Practically impossible to make a logical pick in this one as all 3 of their fights were toss-up battles. I'd like to see Marquez get his revenge though since the rematch was stopped early IMO. What do ya'll think???

Morales making his comeback this Sat too... He's my favorite all-time but I'm concerned for the dude at this point. His legs are gone and we all know they don't come back once they're gone. He should stay retired, but we'll see.....

Marquez & Vazquez 3 fights are up there with Ward & Gatti's battles. I agree^^ that this is guaranteed fireworks & bombs thrown at each other. I hate what Vazquez's eyes will look like after this fight. Both of these fighters deserve what Clottey made for his fight vs. Pacman, I can't wait for this.
