Well I finally re-copped a Dreamcast and now im playing Shenmue 1 again. Is it normal getting through disc 1 in like 6 hours? Im taking it easy now tho... want to savour Shenmue :point:

i know the second one was a good game but that's the only thing i can remember properly. And the fact that there isn't a save point until a couple of hours into the game, which kinda makes it hard when you play it before you go college in the morning like i did.

U could have saved it about 5mins after you got off the boat, in the hostel at the harbour.

Set in Japan in 1986, the story follows Ryo Hazuki, and showcases a unique blend of storytelling and combat. Especially interesting were the Quick Time Events (QTE) that worked timed button-press minigames into a variety of scenarios. It's kind of an RPG, kind of an action game, and has a riveting story that legions of fans are still patiently waiting to see concluded.
Good to see Shenmue getting the credit it deserves. I would put it at number 1 in my fav games of all time.

i remember this,i had the first game on Dreamcast i can't denied i had fun with this game playin arcade was my pastime trainig was good but it took a long time to perfect the move one by one, if you were bore you just walk around the neidhborhood and talk to people check the place and fighting bad people it was cool something new
