I remember interviews after it was released - can’t remember the source but there was one with BSBD talking about how awful the process of making the album was (something about Holo hiding a gun in their house / studio if I recall correctly) and I’ve definitely read an interview with warcloud where he is asked about the album and he said he didn’t like the beats on the final version apart from a few that weren’t switched (think Crash was one that he mentioned as being an unaltered beat). Will try find the interviews.
Edit: this is all I could find - but the interview links are dead: https://www.prlog.org/10966378-warcloud-aka-holocaust-wu-tang-tribute-week-day-4-blue-sky-black-death-interview.html
I believe the link is in the Warcloud thread somewhere.. But it is so old, it might be dead like the one you provided. Plunder and Crash were the beats he actually rhymed to
R.I.P lord I'm keep smuggling in the graveyard. Today I finally got a little more straight but I'm a be fucked up and scarred forever. Me and the god having fun tho... Didn't want him here like this. But yesterday we watched Frankenstein Island, The Monsters Club, Gates of Hell, Raw Head Rex, the cobbed web hotel cartoon from the fifties Alvin and the chipmunks movie ( the 80 one) brave little toaster and all of GenoCyber. We just did a track well I did he's not on it but in me spiritually
This thread needs to be stickied . I ask respectfully.
thanks
The Pro collab is a bunch of tracks already released, but you may have not heard many of the tracks and in that case, it's a good listen.
History of violence is OK. The mixing sucks, sounds a bit copy/paste, and it's not all brand new/unreleased Holocaust material. Same with the Killah Priest collab, Savage Sanctuary.
If you have not heard Armor of God, Northern Right Whale, Jigsaw Puzzle, Nightmares Resurface, or even Warghosts (there is a Bomshot-less version floating around), those are much better listens IMO. There is some really good stuff found on the American Poets projects as well (ie. Conan is a fucking banger).
RIP. He was one of a kind. One of my faves.
Dunno who was responsible for those 2 UGHH albums, but very grateful we got those. Very well put together releases. Glad I've held on to my copies through the years.
The BSBD album is a personal classic for me too.
He was one of a very small handful of rappers I've kept an interest in over the years. Sad that he won't be making any more music. Hopefully we'll get some good unreleased stuff.
Agreed that he was one of the few rappers I still looked forward to more from. Not gonna lie: I feel way less interest in Wu Tang now. They were bigegr than just the 9/10 guys because of the Killa Beez and EWarcloud was easily the standout and only one equal or better than most of the Wu generals. Feels like a part of the Wu Tang itself died.
Second on the quality of his verses on the American Poets 2099 records. You can find versions that are just his verses and its his best recent stuff. Maybe you can still find it here: https://wu-tangfam.blogspot.com/
Got the archived version here:

LOL, they call Pro his weed dealer and yes man
Great job on that Jet Set. What we need now is for somebody to dig up a picture of that threatening letter Holocaust/Warcloud wrote to the F.B.I. pretending to be Blue Sky Black Death.
How does everyone feel about Savage Sanctuary? I listened to a few joints off it. Doomsday Part 2, Diary of a Madman 2, etc. Crazy you can hear Poetic at the very end of that track. Briefly and quietly, but still, he’s there. RIP to all three of those brothers on that particular track. Doc, Holo, Poetic
