i c wot he is saying but just because say i dont like sum wu members namely (ghostface and cappadonna) doesnt mean im ne less a wu fan, i hav all wu albums (inc. colective, all 5 wu bangaz, sting etc), and lots of wu affiliate songs.
peace
anywayz i think that these Wu - members who are rejecting this board because its negative or they dont like what people are saying, the FACT is, these guys are theyre fans! You cant reject youre fans are saying (im talking about the real ones not spammers). Respect theyre opinion, it might help. If a real fan is unhappy with some of the shit members are putting out - it might be for a good reason. Because alot of fans are being dissillusioned with some of the modern Wu - and the FACT is, the Wu have lost ALOT of original fans over the past 5 years for changing their style, and the Wu havent been better for it. They would of been better sticvking to what made them succesfull.
I dont know what exactly G is pointing to when he says negativity, if its
A) these little spammers who post BS just to piss people off, like starting threads saying shit like "36 chambers is overrated" or BS like this, then no one takes that shit seriously anyway
B) People hatin on commercial parts of members albums, and pop R n B singers on tracks, i cant see the problem with that- thats HEALTHY NEGATIVITY, Hip Hop fans need to stand up to modern Hip Hop more, and if the artist dont like this, but its free speech.
And why do I care if they visit this board? I'm missing the point.
well i know i'd sure hell want to talk to Rza one on one and ask him questionsQuote:

There is a difference between seriously critiquing an artist and have a serious discussion about it, and troll threads made simply to cause an outrage of flames from the people they call "wu-stans". My duty as a moderator on here is to distinguish which is which.
There is a large group of people that go to forums just to try and pester the fans and make those stupid threads when they have nothing better to do. I have seen the list of those banned users....yes the page scrolls down.
I do see a lot of new people creating threads that I end up locking or deleting, perhaps this forum is big enough to have a post minimum and registration day minimum to be able to create a thread. Something like 14 days registered and 50 posts.
In general, someone who doesnt read forums on the internet much may seem like things are negative than they really are. I believe many artists dont read boards that often. Common people use stronger language when they type something on the spot than they really feel that some things may seem more negative than they were intended to be. Basically a lot of people dont know how to control their words then misunderstanding arise. I remember when I first read stuff on the net I would get caught up into it and leave me pissed off. Some of the people that have been here for a while I once noticed they got too caught up into something and convinced them to lay back. In other words, language on the internet is different.
Instead of a beef forum here.....I would make a hater free forum instead.
Ill be the first to say im guilty of attacking some forums members, BUT it is ONLY when people say shit like Wu Tang is wack, this album is wack, blah, blah, blah.
I definitely agree we all need to alter our criticism. Criticism is a very scholarly art (originated by plato, aristotle, etc)
And the whole stan and dickrider thing is totally irrelavent to me, just because I think all the Wu group albums are classics, doesnt mean im a dickrider. (Actually they had a few posts laughing at that notion when i said that)
In the end I like all Wu Tang, if you look at my posts it aint hard to tell.
Ultimately if we can make changes that bring the Wu generals to participate on this board we should all try to do that.
I said this more than once, this is the only forum I post on, so I take this thread seriously, and I will try to apply the positive message it creates.
"G" came correct with his. Too much hate and not enough love in this site.
Although I do respect G's opinion, i have to say, If the wu cant accept critcism then why are you rappin? If nobody likes your shit move on. What do yall mean by too much negativity? If alot of people not feeling your shit than it must be something wrong. you cant knock people for spittin there opinion on the page. If i feel something is wack im going to say it, Im still gonna type what i want. Everybody wanna act soft cause of the post now, now everyone aint gonna say what needs to be said because they dont want to suffer, thats wack, we should be able to speak our minds.People that say there are wu haters what if we just dont like that certain wu member, thats not hatin, we not hatin on no album if its wack then its wack. How you gonna get mad cause theres too much negativity? If its something wrong then fix up ya shit then come back, and see what it is. I fee;l that after what g posted this fourm will change into real fakes because alot of people are gonna start sugar coding their posts, thats bullshit say what you gotta say, we not gonna knock you, we might say thats nonsense but what the hell, there aremany people on this planet, we all arent the same. its not dissin we just dont like this or that, what wrong with speaking up we dont gotta like every godamn thing. I think everyone should keep doing their thing. peace
As far as the newbie thing,
I think it dilutes the potency of threads when you can post as soon as you sign up. Maybe there should be a limit or a newbie forum, if they really want to become new members, im sure people will be patient with the restrictions. Which could be restriction to a newbie forum until a certain post count is attained. What could be achieved by this? Mainly, less spamming, more people who WANT to post here. Im tired of people posting here just to defame and slander Wu Tang.
I know personally I pay more attention to people with high post counts.
As far as the Wu hatin, and this Wu shit is wack stuff,
I think most Wu Tang music is good and far superior to other rap.
Even though I don't agree with some of his opinions on previous threads.. I co-sign this one..Quote:

And like many other people have said we should criticize in a respectful constructive manner... but we should also be able to wild out and be disrespectful , thats freedom of speech.
I feel that the amount of love to hate on this board is about 40:60 and while it could be a little better it isnt that bad in comparison to most sites, even official. We have tons of dudes on here who talk about Wu like they can do no wrong. Tons of people who take the time out to go through the lyrics and discuss songs line for line even.
Then there are people who feel like theyve been dissappointed by the wu recently and should be able to experess their views in any manner they want as long as its not at a spam level. I feel that alot of the fans on the forum are as loyal to Wu as any fans could be to a group (especially in a genre whose fans are as fickle as hip hoppers). Look at it this way, sure some of us express how were constantly dissappointed but at least were still checking for the wu after over a decade, at least we have the mindstate where we anticipate new releases no matter how much we were let down by an artists previous effort. We show hope and what else is there to expect when hopes are not met repeatedly other than there being an evergrowing backlash from scorned fans. Sure "scorned" is a strong word and its not really as big as that in the persons day to day life. But this is the internet where extreme representations of peoples opinions are the norm.
no one is telling you to not express youself. its how you do it.
I dunno, there are thousands of members...I don't like my chances of getting one on one time with a Wu member if they came one....If Rza truly came on the frenzy of people replying to him would probably too much.
All my questions are usually answered by reading an interview with them anyway...and I certainly wouldn't write any of them just to gush what I fan I am. To be fair I wouldn't write them to say anything overly negative either just b/c I may not like something.
That being said, anything I want to know is usually answered by reading it somewhere (i.e. release dates, album news, future projects, etc...)
Unless of course I can tell him what I want from the next album and he'll listen to me 100%....then you may be on to something ;)
But I guess fans want that connection and want to be heard and will get a kick out of writing a Wu member and them reading it.....personally just not a big deal to me.
Make good music, that's all I want.
