Why do civil rights groups keep sticking up for Michael Vick?

straight up, you and slippy have your facts so twisted that you should probably go back to school starting from grade 2. of all the ridiculous statements i've read in the past few days, this is perhaps the worst:

You just don't understand. You're thinking of things you can touch and feel. I'm speaking of the cultivation of humanity. You can get on a train all day but can you advance your being to travel without moving. I'm coming from a different paradigm than you. As "primative" as the Ancient egyptians were, how could they erect structures that modern engineers can't duplicate. Ivan Van Sertima visited Kemet and stated that he witnessed a massive obelisk that was laying on the ground abandoned. He examined it and witnessed a minor crack on it's surface. It was determined that that crack was the reason that it was abandoned.

If you think that computers and iron machines are technology in it's ultimate form, I don't agree. I hold true that cultivating the human spirit in all of its attributes is our ultimate technological advancement.

Back to the pyramids for a brief moment. The reason we don't understand is cause invaders murdered the priest that manifested it. The Dogon possess astrological knowledge that is still to be deciphered by "modern technology." When people can absord light energy to the point that they can observe distant star systems that others require "advance technology" to observe, that's all the proof I need to back up my claim.

You can throw insults all day but what do they matter? I guess that's civilized and advanced. Saying, "I'm right cause of my perception and you're wrong cause this society says that you are."

Seeing that we're diametrically opposed to one another and you're obviously a very disrespectful person consider this argument stagnant.

It's interesting that you pose that statement of cultural norms. Frankly I see pitpull fighting as a way of being. Like I previously stated I saw it often when I was coming up. I didn't really agree with it but I didn't really agree with most of my environment. I guess it's cool that people bred the dogs to fight but it's not cool that people fight them.

I personally don't care about his outcome cause I'm not a sports fan, but I socially hate the fact that a man that could do so much for his community is being canceled.

you're mangling the sematics. what you're referring to isn't technological, it's spiritual. how can we have a conversation if you invent your own vocabulary?

oh and i should probably mention that any architect worth his weight in mortar would agree that while the great pyramids are certainly a tremendous feat in engineering, they don't compare to modern skyscrapers as representations of technological achievment.

Why should being a sports fan or not, have to do with caring about the outcome of the trial? There are many people that don't even follow sports, that would like to see the people that were involved in this abuse of dogs, be sent to jail.

You talked previously in this thread about peaceful ways from ancient tribes and how today's US societies are run by savages. But then you make it seem like you think that pit bull fighting is normal, cause you grew up up with it. You don't think that the people that are involved in pit bull fighting are acting like savages?

Jesus Christ, people. Michael Vick will be found guilty of the crimes he has done, seriously. I'm pretty sure that the media will try to do their best to destroy his image because he's a minority. But you shouldn't feel sorry for him because he did this to himself.

Blackwisdom is being pro-black, period. If Michael Vick was a mexican, Asian, Indian, or White, he would not have anything to say because the person that is being convicted is not black. :-/

I think that the people who run housing projects promote savagery. I think that law officials that use their badges and guns for justifiable homicide are savages. I think that people who pollute waters for profits are savages. I think that people who traffic humans are savages. I think that people who injest harmful chemicals into our foods and livestock to get more profit are savages.

Someone fighting a dog isn't high on my scale of savagery compared to the other forms of savagery. That's my point. I'm also saying that I grew up around it right along side people being blasted in the face over drugs. Which should I care for more a dog getting shot or a person getting shot?

I said that I'm not a sports fan to state that I didn't really follow anything else related to Mike Vick before and I have too many other things to worry about than him fighting dogs. Why don't ya'll use your energy to worry about fighting the industry instead of one possible financer of the industry. That's like criminalizing the crack dealer on the block and ignoring the one's who bring it here by the ship load.

Not really. Dog fighting is just as bad as selling drugs to a crackhead or a child. People profit from dog fighting. People profit from selling drugs. The point that I'm trying to make here is that people will use anything to try to make money. That's why I don't understand why the certain people are sticking up for Michael Vick. The guy knew what he was doing. And I'm pretty sure that he also knew that he would be the center of attention if and when he gets caught. It was just a matter of time.

You really have to know your history in order to understand what start public housing. The reason why public housing began was to separate blacks from whites. This mainly happen in large cities like Detroit, Chicago, Phila, and other cities. They built these high rise buildings in isolated areas so poor blacks wouldn't have good access to the good white negborihoods. As a result, violence, deaths, diseases, drugs, robbery, out-of-wed-lock births were at a all time high for black from the late 50's to early 90's. The police aren't doing their jobs and you know why. This is how all these damn stereotypes began.

True story. Earlier this year, while I was in a liqiuor store, there was a drug dealer screaming and yelling to himself because he misplace his drugs that he was going to sell that day inside the liqiuor store. He started to question himself how could have he lost his own drugs. Well, he had to point the finger at somebody, so he pointed the finger at some other drug dealers. So, the all the drug dealers started arguing over $100 worth of drugs for about 40 minutes to an hour. I went to another store to get some food because I knew a gun battle would break out soon. About half way home, I heard several gunshots. When I got home, there were about 10 swat cars sorounding off the liqiuor store. Now, someone called the police WHEN the drug dealers were arguing, but the police never arrived. Almost an hour of arguing and no police. Unforateuly, the drug dealers got away....somehow. The next day, someone else was selling drugs in that liqiuor store. Who's to blame for this? The police or the city?

Personally, dog fighting is a form of savagery compared to someone selling drugs to a crackhead or a random person on the street. The person that's buying the drugs made a choice to purchase the drugs in order to get a high or "buzz". The drug dealer is doing his/her job by supplying the drugs to inividuals that want drugs. After all, the person that chooses to be a drug dealer made their choice to be a loser in life. Blackwisdom, God created humans and he gave us to power to make important choices in life, whether they are right or wrong. But we learn from our mistakes. However, some of us do learn and there are those that don't learn at all.

If people want to stop the flow of drugs in their commiuties, they have to stand up and fight for want should be theirs. Complaining and bitchy isn't going to solve anything. If a person wants to overcome the pressures of the ghetto, that person must be strong minded enough to rise above than want is being offer to him/her from the ghetto.

I respect your words and appreciate them. I see things in equal measures, but in this third dimension we have a tendancy disperse things. I'm a vegan so I do care for animals. I can't even eat fish cause my spirit doesn't feel comfortable doing so.

All I was trying to point out was that when it comes to comparing animals to humans there is no comparison. I'd rather focus on saving us then trying to save some dogs. That's what PETA is for. I have my mission and they have theirs. If I try to fight Vick I gotta fight the entire establishment. Otherwise I'm shooting blanks.

Point taken. All of these crimes are linked one way or another. I'm not defending him. If I summon the energy to do so I may expound upon the psychology of black male survival.
