I am extremely moderate in terms of my worldview as compared to the rest of society.

However, on wu-corp, it seems that my moderation represents an extreme.

I believe in using logic and past events to draw conclusions on that which cannot be known.

I find that most ASSUMPTIONS made in KTL are far-fetched, baseless, and use flawed logic.

At the same time, I firmly believe that the United States government, as well as EVERY SINGLE GOVERNMENT IN THE WORLD are flawed, both inherently and in practice.

Does that mean I think they are all "evil" ? No.

And if the term "flawed logic" is used, would it not be logically possible that there may be a naive member here from the thousands of members who think the government is inherently superb and any mistakes tiny glitches that can be overcome by future actions?

The inherent message in my original post was to urge people to look at the power of the world and accept that it does both good and bad things and not one exclusively.

To be honest, I think that you were referencing me as a poster who thinks that everything is perfect, and now you are back-pedaling.

That being said, I agree w100% with your message.

Hmm I had a feeling you were a little defensive.

Listen, I was not referring to you, honestly. I wanted to make a general statement. I don't believe anybody is wrong, I just believe people ought to have the capacity to fully appreciate all sides before dismissing them. And this should be done with respect.

I wasn't trying to disrespect anybody and I don't back-peddle. I always mean what I say and will always apologise if I was truly wrong.

You said that all media has an agenda:

Yes, and their main agenda is to get people to view their medium. Some attempt to sway people's mind, but I think they are obviously discernible to intelligent people.

BUt the media's main objective is not to turn people into sheep or tell them what to think, it is simply to make money off of them by presenting them with what they want to see/read/hear.

I'm not saying the motives are pure, but they are not inherently evil.

I can't believe that you don't think the media tries to expose shit. A Senator can't even get his dick sucked in today's climate without it being all over the news.

You also seemed to defend Chavez. Chavez, is, to some extent, a champion of his people. Maybe he wants what is best for them...I won't speculate. However, look at how he treats political opponents and dissenters...look at Venezuelan media...there government is completely closed and people have no freedom.

You seem to respect him just because he openly disagrees with America.

As far as the transparency of America's government, in comparison to other governments, I don't even see how it is arguable.
