yo i played the beta last night at one of my homies house and i gotta say that i'm pretty stoked about this shit. and yeah a lot of people that i was playing with said they hate that snow level but i'm kinda diggin it. granted the fact that i only played 3 games of team slayer. i dunno maybe it isn't a good map for other game plays? anyway yeah the over all look of it is awesome. i haven't got a 360 yet but i think its a good idea for me to get one now. haha. peace.
I must admit, Snowbound is a good map for the rumble pit match
I'm liking Snow Bound and High Ground. Valhalla is a good map, but it feels too big for 4 on 4. I have a hard time finding ppl on that much.
I still haven't played a VIP match yet.. What are your highest ranks? Right now I'm 15 in rumble pit.

Team Skirmish - 4

^^ I'm the same thing, but Grade 2.
you can't transfer the saved vids without a capture card to record it. apparently the saved films are actually just data, so when you go to watch it, the game reads the data and basically plays the game again. so you need a capture card.

got into a custom game last night, you can mess with the speed that you move (turn it up to %300) and take away the gravity (%50) and you can basicly jump from the gate on highground to the waters edge at the bottom

I've also played some of the custom games. The sword runs outta "ammo" in multiplayer now. And the pistol looks like the Halo 1 pistol, but it doesn't have a scope and it shoots much slower. Shots are almost one second apart. The wraith is also cool now cuz it's got a turret where someone else can jump on and fire these little plasma bullets, kinda like how the tank has the machine gun turret.

Over at Gamepro, they are teasing their 16-page cover story on Halo 3. Their coverage is multiplayer-focused and reveals some new weapons, new vehicles and some maps that weren't in the Halo 3 Public beta. Additionally, Gamepro reveals something brand new to the Halo universe: Armor permutations and customization. Armor permutations and customization are a series of cosmetic changes to your Spartan that gives players another way to distinguish themselves from the pack in Halo 3's multiplayer.

^^ here's the scans for that gamepro article. most of it is bullshit, but there's some good info about the pistol, the sword, three maps (epitaph, shrine, last resort), and a new vehicle called the chopper.

But to summarize:
- The pistol looks like the halo 1 pistol, but it's not as strong, fires slower, and has no scope. It's stronger than the halo 2 pistol though.
- the brute chopper is kinda like a motorcycle, except it's really good at ramming into other vehicles to destroy them.
- the radar jammer messes up the HUD and makes the radar go nuts
- shrine is really big, you need vehicles to cross it
- last resort is a bigger version of zanzibar
- epitaph is a smaller map, mostly indoors
- the sword now runs outta ammo in multiplayer too
- you can customize your spartan with the armour from the different books and stuff. there's a lot of options here.

there's hints of a flamethrower. Some modders checked the code of the beta, i dunno what they did, it's modding shit. but they checked, they saw codes for "enter chopper" and they got that right. they also saw codes for "claymore mine" and "flamethrower". so i think we'll definitely see it in this game.
actually here's the shit the modders found:

"Destroy the Flood or become infected. Score points for killing flood or big points for infecting a human. The player with the most points wins"
