Notre Dame has been moved down the polls twice this season after WINS against UCLA and Georgia Tech. So be thankful the Gators have a strong conference to catch them from falling.

I myself, is hoping ND can secure the winner of the OSU / Mich game.
Its starting to look like the winner of OSU / Mich faces the winner of USC / ND.
But if Cal screws everything up by beating USC before the Irish do, then I think Florida will face the winner of the OSU / Mich game.
Notre Dame has a strong bias blowing against them ever since Charlie Weis stopped talking to alot of reporters before the season. And any black commentators still bash them cause of resentment of Ty Willingham.

the ref's helped out Florida? Are you kidding, Florida is the most penalized team in the nation, we NEVER get help from the refs. The refs are a huge reason why we are not undefeated right now. And the extra point and FG's werent botched, they were blocked, big difference. Plus people don't factor the Steve Spurrier factor in, its Steve Spurrier in the Swamp, you don't think that South Carolina was a little extra pumped up and prepared?

And so what if Florida barely won against an unranked team, USC lost to one. And before that, USC barely squeaked by in 3 straight games. People just love offense, and its ridiculous. Its hard to have a great offense when you play top 10 defenses every other game

Notre Dame, I just dont see them beating USC, their defense is pretty much terrible.

And if Floirda sucks like everyone seems to think now, then they'll lose to Arkansas. But if they win, you gotta put them in there.

They're ranked #3 in every poll but the BCS poll, which isn't the lone determiner in who plays the championship game. Your team's sitting in a good position, as long as they win out, they should be good.

well, first off, the BCS is the ONLY determiner in who plays in the championship game. 2nd, We're #4 in the Harris poll, which is 1/3 of the BCS. Florida does have a good chance to get in, I'll just be completely miserable if we win out and USC or Notre Dame gets ahead of us. It'd be like Auburn in 04 all over again. And if Arkansas beats us, they should go. SEC hasn't been in the championship game since 03, which is stupid. And even then, everyone wanted USC to get in ahead of LSU. WHY DOES EVERYONE LOVE USC?

^don't think it works that way anymore. The BCS poll used to be the only one that counted but I thought they made adjustments so that the human polls count as well.

As long as the teams in question take care of their business then it doesnt matter where they are ranked today. Just finish the season with no more losses (which Florida will not do) and let the numbers play themselves out. To bitch about the ranking now is stupid becasue the biggest games of the year are still to come. Everyone loves USC becasue their strenght of schedule is #3 in the nation, do the math

nah dude, the BCS is a combination of 2 human polls (the USA Today/Coaches poll and the Harris Poll) and thier "computer" rankings. Each element is 1/3 of the ranking, and the final # is thier BCS ranking, which is the only determinant in who plays in the championship. The AP poll doesn't mean jack shit anymore for anything.

Well OSU won, like I said. I wasn't impressed with either team really. I saw alot of terrible tackling and missed defensive assignments. I think OSU will be in for a rude awakening if they play an SEC defense in the natinoal championship game.

We beat 2 #2 teams and we will do it again! I am POSSITIVE u werent thinking the Buckeyes of 2002 were impressive and they beat The U, who was "untouchable". The game was insane, the crowd was so hyped up all day. I have never seen my campus have 1,000,000 beer cans in the street till now. Best part of pregame was a Meeeeeeeechigan car getting a ticket from an Ohio cop 3 miles from the stadium. I have never heard nor seen a "U got pulled over chant" till now either. The team up norths fans did there part and took some real shit on campus. I also saw a kid buy 2 tickets for $600 20 minutes before the game and then cry as he hand the money over. Tressel is God and played his cards right all game and now we have ANOTHER victory against "them" amd another Heisman we can put on our mantle. So cheers to THE Ohio State Buckeyes, the class of the nation and the soon to be 2006 National Champions.

As far as I know, there's only two undefeated teams.

NCAA Football is the only sport where the "little guys" dont play the major powers. At least when it counts.

Every year, the NCAA Basketball Tournament shows that the "little guys" can hang and beat ANY team

But between Michigan and Florida, let Florida get beat down by OSU.

well now the championship game has no appeal. i would've liked to see OSU play USC before florida. they got it right though, florida deserved to go.

congrats to the gators and their fans but that game is gonna be boring.

I'm a Michigan fan, but I think they got everything right. Michigan would be in the Championship game if they beat OSU, but they didn't. This should be a good game, contrary to what everyone is saying, "OSU is going to blowout UF" - I think it'll be a good game.

I think if USC won they would have made that the top 4 and turned there eyes off of the Florida team beacause "it wouldnt matter" and they would still give Meeeechigan there "due"

ND losses= #11 (at the time) Meeechigan and #3 USC

LSU wins=UL-LA, Arizona, Tulane, MSU, Ketucky, FS, Tenn, Bama, Miss and Ark
LSU losses= #3( at the time) Auburn and BCS championship game #2 UF

LSU winners of 6 straight going against a team that got picked apart in there last loss..............................

and this is a home game in the Superdome??????????????

its really an entertainment thing for me. i already knew michigan was gonna be out so then all i wanted was an entertaining game.

yeah i would've loved to see my team play for it all and USC is a lot more fun to watch than florida. florida did a good job to get where they're at but they're boring to watch.

i think this will be a homer's matchup.

Like they said on ESPN, since last year, Notre Dame has played about three solid teams, and they got killed in all three of those games. The three losses totaled about a 60 point defecit. lol They are definitely overrated. And they wouldn't be playing in the Sugar Bowl this season, even if wasn't for their popularity and money making appeal.

I don't really know all the teams Boise State has played this year, but shouldn't an undefeated team get a shot at the championship? What if Ohio State loses in their Bowl game, and Boise State wins in theirs? They would be the only undefeated team this season.
