Wow..this movie kinda sucked, Part I was WAY better, anti-climatic fight indeed, I dont even think that fight between them went past a minute. So SHIELD apparantly wont even need Tony as part of the Avengers now? Just as a consultant? LAME
the movie was everything i expected to be it has plenty of story I can't see why some of you are saying isn't as good as the first one it has twice the action the sound effects were absolutely brilliant specially when whiplash started to hit the race track with his whip it was really loud but I agree on Samuel Jackson acting he should have been more serious besides this the movie is twice better than the first.
yes the after credits scene was hilarious for me cuz every nerd on the theater had an orgasm
the fight with whiplash at the end was WAYYYY too short. The first one was still a better because the 2nd one was just average.
jackson will be in more marvel movies so him being there for a short moment was okay.
just saw this movie, was real good. Not as good as the first tho. But still a good movie, yall should see it
i just saw it
roBot fight FTW!
did he ever sport the triangle in the comics? seriously? i hardly remember him without it.
Saw this last night. Shit was pretty good
1) Ironman needs a better Villian the next time
2) Fight Scenes were too short, the longest fight scene was that agent nigga fighting the cop when him and the red head female broke into hammer industries lol
3) Justin Hammer was funny as shit on here "We gotta get these bitches outta here"
4) Scarlett Johansson was looking sexy as shit
It had some amazing scenes, but somehow it didn't fit together as a movie. Good fight scenes, and some cool stuff about the Avengers. The one chick that worked for SHIELD, she was fuckin' smokin', and that fight scene in the hallway where she took out all those gaurds, I've haven't been that impressed by a fight scene in a long time.
Samuel L. Jackson was cool, it was funny how he acted like his old pissed off yelling self. lol
What a borefest.
like i told alot of my friends
when are they gonna learn a villain is not a bigger version and altered version of the main character or hero... i mean they already did that in the 1st one, wheres Mandarin? wheres Whirlwind? Fing Fang Foom? Ultimo? they have plenty people to choose from, i jus copped the Ironman animated series from 1994, which ive been waiting for and there are like 10 villains in the 1st episode, like choose a good one shit! very anti-climatic movie
It wasn't funny until Adrian's line and Paulie getting shot in the back.
"i mean they already did that in the 1st one, wheres Mandarin? wheres Whirlwind? Fing Fang Foom? Ultimo?"
Those villains are too fantasy oriented. the director wanted a more accesible & realistic approach when it came to Tony's villains.

That said, the most exciting part of the trip was rolling up our sleeves and getting into the plot. As Bendy said, Faverau didn't get us out there to just high-five the guy. He wanted us to be brutal and honest and I have to say I almost crossed the line when I talked 'em out of The Mandarin, who was in the original draft, and there was a terrible silence in the room for about ten seconds until Fav agreed and we all got talking about beefing up the Obadiah Stane/ Iron Monger thing (originally planned for the sequel). The whole crew were gracious, very respectful of Marvel East's input and-- best part-- paid us for our troubles. I've known for about sixteen months how great this movie was going to be and it was so thrilling to see the whole thing come to life up there at the London Premiere last week.
i am becoming increasingly bored with hollywood's attitude of 'let's adapt these fantasy stories and properties and suck everything fantastic and supernatural out of it'...
then why not come up with your own more plausible and realistic story? i guess this is why superman has had to battle lex luthor in four out of five of his movies, or why galactus was a dust cloud in the fantastic four films. selective palusibility? i don't get it.
these films are dealing with inherently unrealistic concepts in the first place, so all this talk of making things more 'realistic' is laughably stupid...the only films that somewhat suceeded with this approach are nolan's batman films.
i thought the movie was decent, but the screenplay was a poorly structured mess, and rockwell seemed to get all of the best lines.
fantasy oriented are the best, its already not possible for any of this to happen, i mean if we want jus robots and robots, watch transformers, which wasnt that great, but its already fictional, go out all the way
Regardless, doesnt matter what the fans want lol, its the director/producer. Favreau's already decided no fantasy villains in Ironman which mind you was originally planned as a trilogy. There will be no Mandarin, and the the last two movies already showed robotic/realistic bad guys.
^^Favreau has already said that he plans to use Mandarin in the next one.
/\ Thats what he said pre-Ironman I, and hes surrounding himself with people against the idea. Hes clearly still going for that human/robotic armor villain type evidence by both Obaidiah & Ivan
^^^ya but there's really nowhere else for him to go with those type of villains unless he does a version of 'armor wars' which would be especially redundant after this last movie...they'll have to start incorporating other aspects of the story unless they want to keep retreading this premise.
the extremis story could easily be adapted to a film and would still be somewhat 'realistic'
They probably will actually. Look at Terminator lol, how many movies are you going to have with a machine trying to kill a kid/young man? (minus Salvation). Marvel is probably trying to avoid the mystical villains for Ironman III considering nearly ALL of the Thor movie in 2011 WILL BE MYTHICAL FIGURES OF NORSE MYTHOLOGY. THAT is the movie that is intended to be more fantasy oriented (Thor, Odin, Lokie, The Warriors 3). Plus if anything in Ironman 3, the director has already said Ironman II was going to be a bridging gap to the Demon In A Bottle story when Tony cant let go of the bottle and War Machine has to take over his super hero duties.
try again^^
It would have been better if it was Iron Man Vs War machine (Don Cheadle)/USA Goverment since they were considering him some sort of a threat.Instead they have Mickey Rourke who is a great with not much to work with be two different characters(Villains) who are defeated quickly such a bore the trailer made him look so deadly as whiplash they should have just stuck with that character instead of combing two.
I finally got around to watch this film and I have to say that I was very pleased!
Good film!
