Damn i felt bad for real.

I didn't watch the game, but i have a feeling that Ronaldo has difficulties with playing big matches. He shines on friendly game vs Spain but on the elimination game vs Spain on world cup he remains invisible on the pitch. He plays beautifully, and he can outplay any defender in the world, but he can't cope with the pressure on the big games.

He will never be the leader that is expected to be from the player of such caliber, although he still has space to evolve.

Not too bothered we (England) didn't get it and Russia deserve it considering they've never hosted it. But Qatar! Man what is that about, I'd be very surprised if there is no terrorist attack during that world cup.

theres probably more chance of a terror attack in England instead of Qatar. all those gulf states pay off terror groups to keep off. but it will suck for foreign fans as alcohol is illegal.

i understand Fifa want to expand the game and that having it in the middle east would be a positive. but fucking Qatar?? one of the smallest middle eastern nations, it makes no sense. they plan to destroy the stadiums after the cup, these ppl are just throwing money around like its nothing. (typical Arabs i must say). in all honesty no middle eastern country is fit to host anything let alone the biggest sporting event in the world.

it will be cool to see how they implement their air-conditioned stadium technology though.

Not having alcohol at the games sounds like a good idea to me.

I don't know if it's already been said in here but i think the EPL should spend less money on footballers salaries and use more of that money on developing homegrown talent at the grassroots. That way we might have a better chance of winning the world cup and the euro cup.

I think the really talented footballing young uns are being cheated because their parents can't afford to pay for their kid's training and all that comes with training (training fees, kits, boots, going to watch live matches, etc).

kids living in heavily built up areas don't have anywhere to practice football on their own with their friends.

and then small kids have to worry about bigger kids mugging/robbing/thieving them of what little their parents can afford to buy them. so those kids parents don't let them play outside, just gotta sit indoors watching tv/play video games. and when they get older they might do the same to younger kids when they're old enough to go out on their own. nothing to do. nowhere to go but the streets.
