how anybody could hate the steelers is beyond me. the steelers play like everyone wishes their team played, like everyone wishes wu-tang sounded...raw and gritty. no west coast, run & shoot, spread, wild cat offense. fuck that. we're gonna run you the fuck over. and on defense, we're just going to physically beat the shit out of you all day.

I'm pretty sure 5 wide sets originated with the Steelers at least in the pros as far back as I can remember. It confused the shit outta people for a minute. Which is to say that while they had players like the Bus or Bam Morris, they'd get outright fuckin pass happy on occassion

Haha toochski you beat me to it. I was going to say that yeah the steelers started using 5 wide during the o'donnel era. Thigpen, ernie mills, charles johnson,andre hastings and I can't remember who the fifth was. One year it was Holiday, but he didn't catch a ball until the super bowl that season.
