yeah am disappointed in Mayweather
^^Me too. I supported his decision on the drug testing the more I thought about it, but now I'm thinking he's starting to duck Pacman. 2 fights in a year isn't that much considering it's his main job. Though he dominated Mosley you have to wonder if that punch that rocked him in the 2nd round is giving him doubts with Pacman. Pacman isn't the perfect fighter but he's going to be much more aggressive, faster, & coming from all sorts of angles. If that was Pacman in the last fight I doubt that he lets him off the hook that easily like Mosley did. Money would be the favorite but the longer he waits the harder this fight becomes. Father time waits for no one. Aside from the Super Bowl, this is the only event in sports that will take away attention from the Miami Heat this year. Somehow boxing always finds a way to fuck it up.
I don't think Mayweather understands the fact that ducking pacman will hurt his legacy more than if he fights him, and loses. if they fight the winner could then be considered among the all time greats without argument against them.
filipinos stand up! fuck mayweather, pussy =]
Pacman's fighting Antonio Margarito. Would've been more excited if it was Timothy Bradley or Andre Berto. But still should be an action packed bout.
^^pac's a fuckin faggot just like PBF. he wants to grab the 154lb belt at a catchweight of 150! this is the second time he's pulled this shit!
Big fight this weekend. Who's everyone going for, Diaz or Marquez?
Personally, I think Marquez is gonna win on points or late decision. Can't see him knocking "Baby Bull" out like last time.
Ohh..didn't know it was a catch weight again, lol. Yea, I think catch weights are silly, either you're a middleweight or not (I'm also not a big fan of Jr, Super, Light, etc). I'm starting to hope that Pacman & Mayweather both lose in their next fights. Pacman for the steroid issue the first time, & Floyd for ignoring the pleas for this fight in Nov. In this economy it's hard to turn down that kind of money regardless of who you are.
Tommy I think Marquez knocks out the Baby Bull again.. Both fighters make for good action fights but I'm going with the harder puncher this time again. The undercard isn't to bad for a PPV.
And just for entertainment's sake, here's a pre-prime Hopkins giving Joe Lipsey the KTFO treament:
Some of the fighters are fading but at least you've heard of them, lol. Anyways here goes the info:http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_yl...ndercard072510
I have Marquez by TKO. Diaz doesn't seem to have it anymore imo.
The undercards are attractive, but it's not worth $50 for the entire fight...maybe i can get the tix cheaper to see live.
So Mayweather Sr. has come out and stated that the real reason that Floyd didn't take the Pac fight right now is because he didn't want to make too much money in one year due to tax reasons. I can actually believe this...

^^Thanks for posting...LOL, interview was funny as it was interesting. It might be that the IRS is the one who knocks out Floyd (rumors are that Money owes $$$ to the IRS). I totally agreed with Floyd Sr. on the catchweight issue. Love em' or hate em' the Mayweathers are never boring.
lol that family is always full of excuses.
that's true, as well.
You're right.. I think Mayweather should ask for Oscar De La Hoya's accountant/lawyer. Or Tiger Woods. Maybe Micheal Jordan's. All of these guys made a lot of money in singular years and never seem to have problems with the IRS. But then you see Mayweather showing off his $50K iPod. I really hope Money manages his $$$ as well as he boxes. I don't want to see him in 15 years on some reality show trying to make money.
I would love to see that lol^^^ He doesn't respect the fans that have made him rich so fuck em.
Anyone see Chad Dawson's fight? He's a talented fighter who seems to need some passion. He clearly had more talent than Pascal but seems to fight asleep. More "Bad" & less passive Chad. I agreed with judges scorecard's. He showed more anger during his interview with Larry Merchant than during the fight.
Emmanuel Steward made an interesting comment about the newer gen of fighters & how they need to score more KO's to keep boxing alive. Good talent (Tim Bradley, Devon Alexander, Chad Dawson, etc.) but the KO ratio isn't impressive. Baseball fans dig the long ball & boxing fans dig a good KO (not ALL fans, but still).
yeah I seen it I expect a rematch I think chad was on his way to a tko victory but the lose is his fault
also it does seem like we get less ko these days but I do also enjoy a good 12 round fight
Dawson was gettin punked by the Canadian. Dawson's % was on par but the Canadian was landing power and had a few more licks. Dawson seemed tired and never really got the fight started on his part. A rematch would be sick... in New Haven this time hahaha.
First guy Dawson fights that isn't over the hill and he looses lol
whats the next big fight in boxing?
Pac vs MargaCHEATO in November
Juanma vs Marquez should be great, too
lol at margacheto pac man is going to ko him out lol
Yep, Marquez vs. Juanma should be a great one. For the hardcore fan this is as big as Pacman vs. Margacheato. I heard Margacheato got his request for a license in Cali turned down. Another proposed fight that sounds interesting is Cotto vs. Chavez Jr. on Dec. 4. Emmanuel Steward vs. Freddie Roach. I know Chavez Jr. has a lot of doubters but this still makes for an interesting fight.
^Cotto vs. Chavez Jr???
Chavez Jr. is one of my favorite upcoming boxers (along with Victor Ortiz). Not sure if he's ready for Cotto though.
^^I don't think Chavez Jr. is ready either. But he's taking boxing more serious (Freddie Roach as trainer) & training better. I guess his performance vs. John Duddy gave him confidence. I still don't think it gets made this year after Chavez's people think clearer. But Cotto needs an opponent and this fight makes decent money for both. Chavez Jr. doesn't have a huge win in his record but he does draw fans & $$. I hope it happens.
Tomasz Adamek won yesterday vs Micheal Grant, however, I am not impressed because come on it's Grant. A person who might be the biggest disappointment in heavyweight boxing history
I like Tomasz Adamek. He's not a huge puncher as a heavy but he does go to fight. He always seems to be in shape. I remember him rocking Arreola a couple times in their fight. Maybe David Haye will fight him since he might think that Adamek would be an easy victory. The Klitchko bros. would be a big favorite vs. Adamek, but he's the type of dude that comes out of nowhere & pulls an upset because they think he doesn't pose a big threat. I agree that Grant was a big disappointment.
I have no respect for haye after talking all that shit about the brothers only to duck them
Haye is quickly becoming the biggest bitch in the sport on a universal level. Who can actually stomach this dude anymore? On a side note I'm fuckin sick of all these dudes trying to be like Mayweather by pricing themselves out of fights. I hear that Alexander/Bradley may not happen because of purse split issues and now Haye is on the same shit with the Klits. What the FUCK have these clowns down in their careers to warrant any shot-calling status whatsoever much less price themselves out of the only competitive fights out there??? Our sport will be essentially dead and gone in 10 years...
I know, it hurts me to see talented fighters do this. The best thing to happen to boxing in a long while was the Super Six tournament, some brilliant fights coming up.
Froch v Abraham - Can't wait.
Dirrell v Ward - Can't wait.
Kessler v Green
Marquez v Lopez
Pacquiao v Margarito - Yeah, we'd rather see him against Mayweather, but let's hope he puts a serious beating on Margarito. Usually I don't like to say that type of stuff, but Margarito is deserved another huge beating.
^^^Kessler pulled out of the Super Six today because of an eye injury...fuckin sucks.
damn who is going to replace him?
^^^They haven't said yet, should be a few days...
Lucian Bute perhaps?
why was he not in it in the first place?
