i leafed through the 'titans villains united' special at the shop...smh...it read like a parody of a bad marvel comic from 2 years ago.
I would like to read some Iron Man. Can anyone point me to the right direction? Graphic novels, comic series, ongoing series, etc?
^^ Iron Man Extremis and the current run of Invincible Iron Man by Matt Fraction and drawn by Salvador Larroca are pretty entertaining. It's at issue 25 I think and you can by the trades up to issue 19 right now.

damn. a lot of damn comics in the past couple weeks.
siege was good. all the little tie ins and whatnot kinda added a little more detail to the slam/bang no detail of the main mini series. but yeah, dark avengers 16 (at least the osborn pages) should of been part of siege 4. but all in all, not bad. i honestly am really looking forward to romita jr on avengers. i always enjoy his renditions of marvel characters.
patiently waiting until someone busts osborn out.
new avengers finale was great. i know im biased (they are my favorite team) but it just worked. yes, the montage ending was corny, but goddamn, this team had nothing but bad shit happen the entire run. constant underdogs. now we get to see cage take over the thunderbolts, so if anything good came out of this its that luke cage is now an a lister.
and yes, i am looking forward to new "new" avengers.
birds of prey 1 was a really good read. especially for someone like me who never read the old series. the huntress is always good with me. but im hoping this can be a quality dc series that i can stick with.
sentry funeral was pretty lame. he used to fuck rouge? when? i mean, damn, why bring it up if you aint gonna elaborate on it.
and punishermax is just damn. great entertainment yet again. bullseye max may be even more wacked out that regular crazy ass bullseye.
and as far as shadowland, i dunno. like pandemic said, one of the best things about daredevil is hes had his own corner of the sandbox to play in (with a tiny few exceptions). but, i am a sucker for the street level guys, and this is their "event", so i'll check it out. im guessing the other heads of the hand are going to kill matt and resurrect him or something of that nature. make him mean or something. lol
and as far as iron man, crazy k, i dont think iron mans been known for any really outstanding storylines or anything. i read "demon in a bottle" and thought it was ok.
but iron man was one of the few series that kept me interested after civil war. so id recommend all the run from civil war on and invincible iron man also. thats probably the best iron man stuff your gonna read.

marvels numbering system is a joke. they just dropped wolverine 900.? i didn't even bother. the way there starting all the avengers titles is pretty dumb too. i been copin oler comics lately hope on ashit load of uncanny x-men. i hoped on the last 4 batman and robin. and also the last 2 daredevils. hows that return of bruce wayne? i was iffy about it.
wolverine 900 was a one shot. they did that also since deadpool 900 came out a few months back. since daredevil reached 500 and spider-man, captain America, thor and hulk reached 600 a while back.
there starting over since the heroic age is about to start. by starting at #1 it starts the hype for the cartoon that comes out this fall and the movie in a couple of years.
yeah i feel dat. but ppl who strictly read the comics don't care about that. i mean i could accept deadpool 900. its deadpool he can get away wit it. lol daredevil went to 500 and never had 400's. or 300's for that matter. just wish the number was consistent

their inconsistent numbering is just a marketing ploy. like all of the new avengers #1s...it's not like it's a new story, this is just a continuation of the shit bendis has been doing
oh and avengers #1 was ok...didn't buy it, but it was ok...the art looked excellent on some panels and sketchy and horrendous in others. and the heroic age banners look so tacky and amateurish. i swear comic companies are ran by people who live in their own reality sometimes...

I liked the issue but the art was meh. I liked how Thor rushed that shit down on kang. I don't like how jrjr draws thor. they should have put an old avenger issue in the back instead of that crap they posted.
jrjr draws hideous women lol...there were too many panels that looked like shit, like they were layout sketches that were hastily inked and colored...his splash pages were generally ok though

avengers 1 was good. i have to strongly disagree and say that jrjr is a great fit for the book. some of his characters looked like shit, i can admit (his 1 panel of iron fist was HORRIBLE). but a lot of his characters (kang, wonder man, thor) looked great. and what better way to kick off the title all the pussies who've been bitching about "real" avengers for the last 9 years than to have the quintessential marvel artist lick it off.
and for real fuck mark millar. he went from being a pretty decent comic book writer to a scumbag hollywood suit constantly lying to hype his mediocre movie adaptations. i dont follow ultimates at all (its just marvels earth 2 or whatever the fuck) but i know this guys quality is on a fast downward spiral.
think the main universe is 616, and i agree that his kang is sick.
