^^^really? interesting, i like alberti's stuff...so i'm assuming you hated the spider-man/x-men min series
but ya, quesada styled on him...i wish he penciled more.
havent seen the series in question.
it's a 4 issue miniseries written by christos gage, each issue is set in a different era of marvel history, the common thread is a scheme concocted by sinster and kraven the hunter to clone an ultimate mutant or some shit...the art was the best part imo it came out last year or earlier this year...again, i don't remember.

i remember seeing it, and disliking the art. eloels.
got time so i decided to give this record a spin between posts...
Bremejo delivers the hardest imo... galloway then caldwell...
superman is abismal story wise.
GL aint too bad.
baker gives hawman a nice feel but i honestly dont like the art alacarte.
catwoman is nice. not great but gives the book some backbone.
dont know if i'd pay for it & go thru the hassle of collecting it tho but time well spent.
EDIT:
love the ;last image
^^^ya the wonder woman one is really beautiful i'm surprised so many people hate it, at the shop i go to everyone i've talked to singles that one out as the worst which irritates me...i like the feel of the flash one as well, deadman's good...overall it's a nice project...and to only be like 15 pages i find myself spending a good amount of time with each issue
i did like Deadman and metamopho of course...2 giants workin on that shit.
^^^ya the metamorpho strips from weeks 3 and 4 form a giant image of them walking around the island...it's sweet
i want to know how they are going to collect that shit...it'll probably be pretty costly
metapmorpho was worth metioning as well.
im sure the WW haters were just too "machismo" to admit to liking the art. i like the toony style at times when done right. it reminded me of Infinite City... that book was definitely drawn well IMO... prolly my top 10
also the flash and GL art fit within the story... GL namely. bats was eh'
anyone into X Factor? i remember i had a few of the vol.1 issues...the team of OG x men...but in any case im talkin about the one with Havok
infinite city...the superman graphic novel? i still need to get that, i remember flipping through it and being very impressed by the artwork
i like the cartoonish style as well, i mean it's all in how it's implemented, some artists are just more capable than others...GL and Flash look like animation cels in the best way and ya the batman story has been kind of underwhelming so far, it's definitely batman by the numbers, it's hit a few of the cliche notes so far...i still like risso's art though
ya i liked it when peter david was writing it with larry stroman and joe quesada on the art...it was better than the other x-books at the time imo...once david left i jumped ship
the issue where they see samson for therapy is a classic (#87?) probably one of the better character studies in a superhero comic
i keep meaning to get into the current volume but i never do, i think the fact that they can't seem to keep a regular penciler turns me off of it.
as far as volume #1, don't sleep on the early issues around inferno, walt simonson has some amazing artwork, and also whilce portacio killed it before havok's team took over.
nah i liked it, it was cool.
idk why the fuck my account still shows me logged in... i was just logged out.
yeah hell yeah, SM: IC is my one of my favs artistically... it was nice seeing someone go a different way with him, the whole book had a refreshing feel to me but at the end of it the story was so-so... i hate recommending books for the art cause few appreciate it but damn... its incredible to me. i was almost as sad to hear about his passing as i was Turner.
as for Wed. Com. Batman, it was his art that turned me off really. from the feel of the book i didnt expect a riveting tale but the art was a lil above generic.
co sign... what was that book, visions or something with david & stroman?
good reads tho
