^^is it good?
I saw Ava is not yet available here on Netflix so I'm halfway through Rebecca (2020) now. the first half hour was romantic but things definitely picked up afterwards as the mystery seeped in. I gave the du Maurier novel but never got round to reading it
great colours, vistas and mansion btw in Rebecca
I just watched I Am Mother. It stars Hilary Swank. Good movie!
neither have I but I would assume the Hitchcock version is superior
Harriet (2019)
Bridgerton - perfect fluff
Thin Ice - Danish-Swedish political thriller series about a hostage situation in Greenland when the Arctic Council convenes
Watching “taboo” staring Tom hardy, this show is fantastic . Love those medieval period pieces.
^I'll check that out.
The Blair Witch Project is on Hulu so I'll check it out. Yes, I'm late as hell but in 1999, I couldn't stomach horror films.
Morgan. It's another on that stars the actress from Queen's Gambit and Rebecca. It's psychological scifi. I'd say it's worth a watch.
Traces. Scottish whodunnit.
Shitloads of old Midsomer Murder episodes. I like the original DCI best. Relaxing show after work.
BBC first has the good old detective shows.
What are T girls?
Billions
Belgravia. Based on the novel by the guy who came up with Dowton Abbey, which ran during those 10 yeats I didn't have tv at home. I heard that was a good show? The Belgravia pilot was solid.
How did you survive 10 years with out a TV? What is the story behind that.
Bad Boys 3 - It was as good as the first 2 films.
Money problems, partly addiction based. I got my priorities right early 2018 when the bank sort of took over my wage, was able to clear my debt within 3 years, saving some in the process, and then when COVID hit I bought a TV. When the bank took over my wage there was a period of a year and a half when I dodn't pay forinternet either. At first I went online in my bank's free wifi zone lol and at work after hours, then I just sort of logged the eff off for 6 months or so, which was when I wasn't posting here.
I spent a lot of time reading when I didn't have a tv. There were various ways to get books for free and I don't mean stealing lol.
I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it, provided you are okay with a love interest being involved in the plot. Six episodes only, short and sweet.

Rewatching NTSF:SD:SUV
The Tree Of Life (Extended) - An epic analysis of the human condition. Cool film.
Didn't know there was an extended version. Yeah it's a great movie.
It's too bad that (to my knowledge) the only Adult Swim show that ever crossed over to Europe was Rick and Morty. Good show, but I wish they'd put Adult Swim in one of the digital tv subscription packages here. I'd rather have Adukt Swim than Comedy Central, which I never watch.
sorry abouts that, the tgirls picture was a mistake. lmao
Best Adult Swim series is ATHF. Harvey Birdman is classic too.
^^Those are great too. Space Ghost will proably be my all time fav. Too many good ones to list.
I got to know Boondocks through WuCorp.
Sha, I take it by what you posted that they broadcast Adult Swim in the UK?
Watching 'Pure' now, a show about a Scottish twentysomething who moves to London so her parents don't find out about her OCD that revolves around having sexual thoughts 24/7. Good balance between drama and comedy, and engaging acting. Not something I'd binge but good for a weekly episode.
^ It's on All4 apparently, but it's been years since I've watched any new AS stuff.
I should check out the new season of Eric Andre for sure. What else is good from the new shows?
I happened on a random showing of it the other day. Not sure what season or episodes. But I ended up watching for about 4 hours. Was hoping someone would chime in to see if it was binge worthy. I liked was I saw. There are somethings that seem a overly contrived to further the characters though.
The first season is sort of good guy versus bad (but likeable) guy. As the seasons progress all the characters turn into really unlikeable people. the plots remained good but, to me at least, there was no character I could identify with as the series progressed. You end up at a point where everybody's backstabbed everybody else various times. This is no issue in season one yet, which is why I rate it the highest, even though plotwise some of the later seasons are smarter.
the overall good acting remains a plus throughout.
