If England can get Ferguson, Schmeichel, Giggs, Keane, Ronaldo, Cantona they'll do well. The England team just isn't good and with 30-60 days a year together even Ferguson will get nothing out of them

Rooney has never been world class, good player but never ever a top tier carry the team kind of guy. Massively overrated, lets be honest playing for Man Utd, surrounded by great players and a top manager inflated his value.

and like you said other teams simply show more heart, they are all hungrier. Look at Chile yesterday their back 3 all came from teams who have been relegated in England. Yet they played their hearts out. Then on the English side of things you have Rooney asking for £250k a week.

The way the EPL is it's great for the clubs but there's no doubt it's slowly destroying the English national team. Any good English player showing promise as a young player suddenly is valued at £30m so it's better to spend half of that on a foreigner.

Rooney had a period in the mid 2000's where he was on top of his fans but they guy seriously faded in his early to mid 20's. He's at a point where no matter how shit he is there's a big team that will risk him for 1 last hurrah and he knows it.

Japan v Greece was awful. Asian really has disappointed me this year. Japan lack a goal scorer to finish their play but they played well in the Confed Cup IMO because their opposition played an open game. They can't break down a compact defence especially a physical European or African team. We went to japan in qualifying and they couldn't handle it the physicality or pace.

Hodgson is rubbish, Ive hated him ever since he sold Roberto Carlos to Madrid because he said he couldn't play as a left back. We all know what happened after that.

yeah they did I was pulling for Italy and balotelli but the costa rica team kept playing they back line shallow to keep getting offside calls. I'm not sure if that's smart play or just a cheap defensive move.

Yeah 3 matches, 1 against each opponent in the group.

Than quarter-/semi-/finals where one loss = out.

Bosnia have been ferociously unlucky. The own goal against Argentina, disallowed goal, foul before Nigeria goal, hitting the post in the last minute. Just terrible luck. Also Dzeko was utter crap.

Klose now equal top scorer, saved Germany's ass.
