If we had Tim Cahill I reckon we could get a result out of the Spain match but jeez we lack any kind of goal scoring without him. It's a real shame that Robbie Kruse has been injured this year because Oar/Kruse out wide with Leckie up front would be good.

9 goals conceded, 3 defeats. Pretty unfair reading since the history books don't tell the whole story. Should have taken a point from Chile and would have won if their keeper doesn't stop the Bresciano shot and against the Dutch competed for 90 minutes.

It was a pretty impossible group. However apart from the last Spain game Australia played well. They pushed Holland and Chile. Just little mistakes here and there by the defence and they conceded crucial goals.Quote:

You can tell some teams just want it more than others. Look at how motivated Mexico and the Latin American teams are. The most impressive Latin American team to me so far has been Chile, along with Colombia.

Saying "Australia has no skills" is the ultimate BS comment. I thought Cahill's left foot volley in to the roof in to the roof of the net as well as the pin point cross was pretty skillful.
Japan are pretty skillful and look how they are going. Italy are out and they are skillful. Spain have some of the most skillful players and they're the first to go home.
