You and Mathlete's Foot make a good point here, because let's face it ... some of the games in the world cup were appalingly boring (my home country is to blame too), others demonstrated painful tactics or lacking technical skills. As I said before, teams like Chile and Colombia deserved to make it to the (semi)finals more but soccer is not straightforward like that. Argentina and Brazil have not played well this tournament, Holland has played rather efficiently but most of the time not very attractively (I make an exception for the Spain game) and Germany is and always will be Germany.
