Yeah the Germans deserved it. Tense final, Argentina had its chances and they didn't take them. Felt a little sorry for Messi, he just didn't have much left in the tank in the 2nd half. Looked very tired. Same with Mascherano, i mean he did all he could but team fell short. By the way Messi winning best player was fucking bullshit.
Germany just had that slight edge, they controlled the game and really worked hard in midfield. Schweinsteiger was awesome.
Great world cup, best team won you really couldn't ask for anything more. First time a European team wins in the Americas.

I think that a lot of teams really aren't as afraid of the traditional powers anymore. Sure, we had a final 4 of top teams but they all seriously had to euro hard to get there and all 4 could have been eliminated in the second round matches. Australia got fisted on the scoreboard but aside from opening 15 minutes against Chile took it to them & Holland. USA, Algeria, Costa Rica weren't afraid and did well. Asia were disappointing personally though that was the real bad thing for me.
I think Lionel Messi really masks a lot of problems with Argentina. Angel Di Maria gas be one the real MVP of Argentina and even Real Madrid since he dropped further back in midfield. I'm surprised he wants to go and waste away at PSG.

Thats like a 20 year run without losing a elimination game in 90 mins.
