native american ppl are salt of the earth. such a noble race of ppl. completely destroyed by european settlers. i think its tragic wat has become of native american culture. a culture that should have been preserved and respected for other races to witness has been pillaged and tossed a few casinos as compensation.
native men who would be growing into leaders in their tribes are drowning in alcoholism and drug abuse to name a few of their social ills. its absolutely tragic.
similarily african-americans have a right to feel angered at the ttreatment they have received over the centuries.
i never feel insulted wen an african-american wants to diss white ppl, cuz i know the white ppl he refers to are not me. im irish, and we've had our own persecution over the centuries too at the hands of the british.
the question now for the native-american, african-american, or myself is........
where do we go from here?
do we hate our historic oppressors? demand compensation? government grants. ?
i think most importantly we have to re-build our own communities from the inside out first. we cant rely on someone else to do it for us. like the black panthers did in the 70s. we need to recover our own pride. each race deserves to know there own heritage. u need to know where ur at before u can decide were ur goin.
and on a personal level, we NEED to get that hatred out our hearts. trust me. or our conditions will never inprove.

difference between My Native peoples and My "Black" peoples is this
Natives have their language,culture - some have their land - they are unified somewhat
"Black" peoples don't have their land, nor do they have a knowledge of whether they were here (Natives), of this land, or if they were from another place
"Black" people don't have a hold of any of their culture or language
and we're totally seperated
Natives got almost totally wiped out cause they fought back and fought a good fight
there are many "black" people here but they are not a group - not unified at all - they got wiped out mentally
I believe Lox is right. We need to be better people than we are. Get out the hate, have self-respect, and start from scratch.
look at it like an intervention. in an intervention all the family members tell the addict how they feel and how they have been hurt by them.
