Ben, as a mediator in such a situation,

I fail to see how the idea of popularly elected General Chat Moderator cannot at least be trailed.

Obviously current Moderators would have the final say on issues and would be able to de mod if things got out of hand, but up until now i see no reason why this cannot be attempted.

There is a lot of conjecture relating to Banning, Irandancoolism, Thread Deletion and Vatican status.

I understand this site is not a democracy, but i feel as though some executive power needs to spread amongst members.

The Moderator Elect would have the enviable position of having a mandate to perform whatever actions they see fit, as Wu Corp as a whole has elected them to lead.

Currently general members have no say at all in the way this site is managed and the manner in which rules are administered.
