So now you're discussing me and my habits pertaining to the consumption of liquids?
How 'constructive'.
Don't you like, have better things to do with your life?
Why are people so sensitive when people don't agree with their opinion.
It is very odd.
I think it's either a sign of social inexperience or arrogance.
Not entirely sure.

Your opinion sucks and is galaxies far far away from reality. And its shitting on a dead man's classic material and you're giving it a bad rep
Who says i think i'm smart...?
It's a FACT i am.
Why bring up the fact that he's dead?
I mean, it doesn't change how his music sounds.

I repeat FACT

Hm, i guess i could use the logic that what anything thinks is 'good' is subjective.
Which is actually a FACT.
Some people just expressed what they thought about the album, others felt the need to bring up irrelevant shit AND additionally insult other people because they don't share the exact same musical opinion. (i was only insulting people because they brought up irrelevant, meaningless shit).
Sean, Inspectah Chek, 11th Chamber and some others who i can't remember, understand it.
The rest do not, and might not for some time i guess.

I respect your opinion and I ain't gonna go through with this whole thread but I'm really feeling "Ready to Die" like that and I was just listening to it today. definitely a classic in my book and one of the strong points of the album is just Biggie's unmatched talent to mix joints for the radio with the hardest shit you'd imagine and coming of successful - i like Jay-Z also but i don't know how "In My Lifetime" can be close to "Ready to Die"....
Biggie poured his fucking heart all over this album as TSA said and he definitely knew how to make you listen up to what he was saying ("fuck the world, fuck my moms, fuck my girl" .... "i'm a piece of shit, it ain't hard to fucking tell") at the same time as being honest with whatever he felt. Of course Puffy was there to shine up the album a bit and i'm not very fond of "Big Poppa" and the album version of "Juicy" but Biggies charisma and the rest of the production makes up for it if you ask me...
Shit, Easy Mo Bee, who is an extremly underrated great producer gave Biggie like 6 of his hardest beats, Lord Finesse created a real piece of art with BIG here and I always thought DJ Premier and BIG brought out the best in eachother with the few collabos they did (and "Unbelivable" is maybe the best of them all and that's saying alot).
This is also a (partly fictional) autobiography of Christopher Wallace which follows the whole story from his birth to growing up dirtpoor to hitting rockbottom before starting recording and slowly reaching star status.
Seriously I don't know how someone could say there's only 2 or 3 good songs on here but we all got different opinions but that is just wow.. but I guess it's all about what type of hip-hop you're mainly into - if you like me, love vintage hardcore boom-bap then most of this album will please you!

If you look back a bit you'll see that we've got the same opinion on this album, I think it's a classic, but......you're still a retard.

This went from being a good pattern of words and sounds to the sonic embodiment of when a superhero is fighting an arch villian, then a building collapses on him. And everyone thinks he's dead, the all of a sudden the rubble starts to move, and be busts out intact, and fuckin PISSED.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooowwww SHIT!
The songs realness just added that feeling you get in the movies when that scene happens. Then to find out they used of Godzilla sample?

haha at me ever having "credibility" in your eyes.
I think thats more a compliment than otherwise.
Your still talking about anything but music.
I'm using personal attacks?
Mild insults directed at people who continue to berate me when i pretty much agree with them i'd say.
Anyway, i like listening to Suicidal Thoughts before i go to bed.

Biggie was the complete emcee, his flow, lyrics, charisma and his ability to spit the most hardcore lyrics then switch up and put out good commerical songs makes him stand out from most emcees. He might be overrated a bit but the fact that almost every NY rapper out regards him as the best can't be denied.
Ready to Die is a definite classic, I'm surprised to see all the hate for Big Poppa though I love that song.
