Some things here I just can't comprehend in general, regardless of my personal opinion.
1. People who continue to comment about the 5% and KNOW absolutely nothing about the 5%, its culture, and doctrine/ideology. I've even seen some individuals in this thread make it out to be a "religion." I've seen others refer to them as "fake muslims." If you knew anything about it, you would know...1.. it is not a religion, and 2..they are not muslims, or fake muslims. I was taught in my household to speak of what you know. In this thread the I'm seeing continuous degradation of the entire 5%, horrible generalizations and misperceptions, alot of inaccuracy, fallacy; misinterpreted views..and beliefs..; and alot of anti-5% redundant rhetoric going nowhere. People love to comment about what they are ignorant to. Atleast go do some research first before you open your mouth..and make fool out of yourself and your parents.
2. I thought the purpose of a thread was to discuss and build on the topic/subject at hand. In response to Allah Jihad's words, I've seen people just respond with hostility and blind emotion. Only a select few have responded and stated something that is relevant to the the present topic.
3. Regardless of who is right and exact in the Wu-Tang clan.., they are group that has always incorporated 5% dialect and even thought within their music. This is a Wu Tang site, yet there are herds of heads who don't know...pardon self, jack shit about jack shit..., but feel free to negatively comment about the 5% NOGE...which the WU..like it or not, are RELATED to in whatever sense. They are skilled lyricists...some of the best ever, but the 5% doctrine is all over them in many of their songs. I guess it's a love-hate relationship.
4. And the thing that is sad about some of the comments I have reviewed in here...not only are they beyond inaccurate....but all the hate. If you know anything about the 5%...the lessons, and even beyond that..the people who have decided to adopt its teachings and live accordingly; or whom were raised in that type of household..., from the slums to the suburbs..., I've seen it with my own 3 eyes.....I've seen it..in a sense.."save" certain people....tons of people in my life experience (though the 5% would state strongly, they saved themselves). I've seen the wicked, deceitful, the mis-educated...under-educated, the ignorant, the lost, the confused, the low self-esteem/confidence.....the vagabonds..people with no personal hope..no optimism, drug dealers...drug addicts, convicts, murderers, the suicidal, the deadly...the depressed, the isolated, people...mentally just in chains and shackles.....come in contact with the 5%....learned correctly...adopted the teachings...and flipped their LIVES around completely...into prosperous, positive, honest and diligent human beings...white, black, etc..etc. There are people who completely rely on the math and self in their households and beyond. Then, if you look at the time periods...the sacrifice....that mid 1900s era....the blood, sweat, tears, the movement.....respecting the Black movement and white leftist progressives..., the attempt to empower the people, to liberate the gazillions of brainwashed Black minds...and even white minds..., from King, to Malcolm X, Elijah, Clarence.......the MATH RE-SURFACED in this era...and what it was TEACHING was needed at this time...and beyond. People fought, died, put their lives on the line..within this entire movement.., and I come to some Wu Tang website...to find a whole bunch of ignorant cats just knock the 5% left and right...who don't know anything about the concept..or its history nor anything it is relative to....which is always important when it comes to correct education. In no way am I implying that the whole movement then was a strictly 5% movement (that logically wouldn't make any sense),...of course not, but I am stating....that this concept re-surfaced around this time....and evolved....as a result of the injustices, psychological conditioning, institutionalized racism, socio-economic and educational hinderance..etc...etc...that black people and other people of colour were being subjected to and subjugated by the government and its sidekicks on a daily basis in many more aspects. So, you are in a sense...harshly degrading some people's bloody sacrifices, hearts, minds and souls....the only thing they had against the system. KNOWLEDGE and even HOPE. I can understand if someone didn't find the 5% ideology appealing...everyone has their own opinion...but to ignorantly attack it...as blindly and as blatantly as some of you have....is completely moronic. Don't be claim to be about peace..when you are practicing its anti-thesis. Stuff gets deeper than what you see on tv and think u hear in music.

Anyways, with regards to the topic..., I can see why he's irate. I've came across these accusations before in my readings and discussions. It would be nice if some brothas just lended a helpin hand in any sense to where their roots are....especially if they consistently and publicly represented ICON of these roots.
And it is true about the music. The start of the bling bling era...has been the only time on this planet were Black people..as a first...had NO MESSAGE, NO CONSCIOUS, in their music. Before then, there was always something in the song......a message, something uplifting, something explaining the general pain, negative and positive emotions... and conscious/intelligent opinions of the people...via the music. Art is a REFLECTION OF LIFE, AND VICE VERSA....so the music being as shitty as it is right now..makes complete sense to me. "At one time...art declared our hue-manity." But, what goes around comes around.....
And oh yeah, by the way for the tons of people thinking the term ALLAH has only an "Arabic" origin...u need to do your research..., upgrade ya phonetics...and especially your etymology knowledge..or lack of.
