Transformers 2:Revenge Of The Fallen (2009) AKA REVENGE OF THE APPALLING

I saw the movie last night and I was blown away. In my opinion, it's a little bit better than the first one. I was upset about a few things that the writers, producers, and Bay made HUGE mistakes on but they were on a budget so I will forgive that.

I'm extremely upset at the fact that both Unicron and Primus weren't mentioned in the movie because the Fallen was one of the original 13 robots Primus created because Primus is the plant Cybertron. Unicron and Primus got into a fight and The Fallen was taken by Unicron.

I hope they're both mentioned in the third one, seriously.

Overall, I'd say that this movie is worth checking out because it's filled with action. I believe that the writers should've focus more on this story because I felt like that they rushed it and that's not a good thing to do when millions of people are expecting another classic like the first film.

Transformers ROTF is a bit better than the first one and you will like it.

I'd give it a 4/5

That was one of the illest movies I've seen in a long time. Optimus Prime held it down like a true warrior. Hell, all the Autobots did. I'm gonna watch that shit again.

these two movies have maybe the best action sequences ever, but there are so many IDIOTIC things about it, that makes the movies bland and dumb.

i wanna see it, i really liked the first one...its FUCKING transformers, do you really expect it to have a serious believable story-line? a movie with cars and airplanes that transform to robots? c'mon now!!! michael bay is perfect for these movies because all it requires is robots fighting and explosions and some semi-witty humor, just like in the cartoons!

and who is more racist? the dudes who made the robots or the people assuming that those robots are meant to portray black people?

Thought it was pretty ill.
The action was incredible and at times breathtaking.
The story was decent, but I feel they missed a couple of tricks
That would have benefited immensely in my opinion.

Proper introductions for the robots, and more one on one fights
And the chosen characters were questionable, on both sides.
The Twins hogged way too much screen time
Ratchet was hardly in it at all, and Ironhide as well, which was dissapointing.

I agree with Ironman, Unicron & Primus should have been mentioned
And The Fallen should have been given a better back story in that regard.

Also the final fight between Prime & The Fallen was too short.
I felt The Fallen could have put up a better fight.
(They should have allowed the robot chick and lengthened this fight in my opinion)

The interaction between Strascream & Megatron was dope, and stayed true to the cartoon
Which was a nice touch.

Soundwave was cold,
Shame he diddn't touch down but it depicted his surveillance role well.

My favourite part was the fight in the forest, where Prime owned bare of the Decepticons
Then Megatron dropped him, that was sickness.
And definatly what I was expecting in terms of ruthlessness.

Of course everyone is always gonna say what they would have wanted in the film
But action wise it delivered greatly, just a bit too comical overall, plus way too few fights
Even though it blows the first film out the water in this department
They relied on the huge battle at the end too much I feel
And ironically I don't think the very end battle was long enough.

I felt they could have done a better job with set-up of fights
As in who would fight who...
Devastator should have been unleashed on all the Autobots for example.

But overall I enjoyed it alot
Cut the robot chick and lenghten the Prime/The Fallen fight
And I think it would be much much better.

I expect the 3rd to be much darker though.

I'm going to see this tonight, sounds dope. I can trust a Whers review, most of ya'll niggaz are bitching in this thread for god knows why...

The first half was garbage. The comedy is very forced and way too sexual and pointless. It takes away from the epicness of the movie.

The second half was much better because its pure TF action. The story overall was meh

I was feeling the exact opposite. I thought the first half was more in line with the first movie, but the second half was a mess. Horrible editing of the battle sequences and Prime's battle was anti-climatic.

In general though, the story was as shallow as it gets (even for a sequel). I'm all for a good "dumb" movie, but this was gratuitous nonsense.

is the best action i have ever seen the story is good i read about the Primes before is from the Transformers comics so def got more story then the first and the only thing left for a story is probably Unicron

there are many robots on the movie at the end you don't know what happen to some of them i assume they retreated there is lil interaction between the robots which it hurts the movie since you don't get to see their personalities is my real critic to the 2 films
the twins and the sex jokes is what really pissin people off with good reasons even my friends felt a lil offended but it didn't ruin the movie for us

The first was was decent, but i dont really get the hype. Its just another action movie to me. No real indepth story or nothing.

Ben Affleck wrote Good Will Hunting way before he starred in Armageddon. But the most blasphemous statement is the one about Nick Cage. Nick (Coppola) starred in a shitload of movies before The Rock, the least of which was a little movie called "Leaving Las Vegas", the year before. You mighta heard of it. Nick Cage won the Oscar for Best Actor in a lead role and Elizabeth Shue showed her tits. I'll let Chris Griffin explain....

Bay's right about 1 thing, he did start Fox' and Leboeuf's carreer but I don't call starring in 2 of the crapiest movies ( 3 if you count Leboefs role in Indy 4 ) of the century making a carreer

Megan Fox is not and never will be "talented". Leboeuf starred in "Bettle of Shaker Heights", and that pretty much launched his career.

That Leboeuf dude was popular on TV years back.

This is Michael Bays last Transformers movie.

He's mad at the fact that there are so much critics because the Transformers movies have a lot of special effects and little to no story.
And now he wants to do some movies with less special effects.

Megan Fox wasn't bad in this movie.

I just got back from the theater seeing ROTF for a second time and it was GAWD! In order to fully understand this movie and appreciate it, you have to see it a second time. The first time I saw ROTF, I missed some things. Now that I've saw it a second time, I understand what the movie's about.

LOL! this is hilarious many people here probably and most likely saw the first film and didn't like it criticize it to death now knowing that Revenge Of The Fallen is the same cast same director same everything Why? oh Why you went to see it? did you all seriously thought it would be any different from the first?

the movie was good cuz i see it for what really is an action movie didn't expect something greater cuz the cartoon isn't any different and the story of the Fallen is a story straight up from the comics so why complaining about it
now the movie does have ALLLOOOT of mistakes, plot holes and racism in part by the Twins which unexcusable

wait for this one on dvd. you can skip all the human parts and just watch the transformers.

too long. and all the shit with shia, meagan fox, and shias annoying ass roommate could all be skipped. that'll save you at least a half hour.
the only real good things are the fight scenes and the way they brought my favorite decepticon into 2009. (soundwave)
