its not just that, but running two pass plays when you were already in fieldgoal range and its not like they were running a play for a short pass to the sideline or a slant, they were trying to go downfield into the end zone. they get sacked on their last attempt and are forced to burn their remaining timeout. you run and try to get your kicker a bit closer than you kick. horrible playcalling in that series.

That's what they all said about Boise St's chances against Oklahoma in the bowl game a few years back. Unranked teams almost beat those 'power house' teams this year, so why wouldn't TCU or Boise St. have a chance?

toochski, if i was a betting man, which i'm not, i would also take illinois +20. cinci is going to be looking ahead to pitt the following weekend. plus brian kelly is probably distracted with all the talk going on about his interest in the notre dame job.

meh, If they haven't gotten rid of all the teams with offensive Native American names then PETA is going to have fun getting the live mascots removed. It can't be a case by case issue, even though the heat and humidity may be an extreme issue there. I guess they aren't worried about the cold and rain since they haven't said anything about Washington using a live Husky Mascot.

i thikn cincy has a better shot still. Alabama won a tough rivarly game on the road from behind.
