I have that Charles barkley book, but I have to start reading it. I would agree with you Charles Jones. I can't really think of tv shows on channels such as NBC, ABC, and CBS that have a big minority cast. Also, it shows how mindless people are when there are like 20 different Law and Order and CSI shows. How many similar types of shows do people need? And enough with all the dancing and model crap shows all over the place.

Everybody Hates Chris is the only minority show that I can say besides Girlfriends, that are like the top shows, but none from any from CBS, ABC, nor NBC. The CW was great at first, they should've kept it both UPN & WB seperate.

Lincoln Heights is a good black drama show. It comes on ABC Family channel. It should be back on in the fall. The oldest black girl who's a daughter of a cop on the show is cute.

These bad kids aren't being disciplined enough in school and the principals aren't doing shit to these bad kids. When these bad kids get in trouble often, their asses need to be sent to prison or expelled from every school. When these bad kids see that they can't go to school because schools won't accept them because of their behavior, then they will be on the streets and they will see just how hard life is when you don't know shit because you don't have a education. I also blame the parents of these bad ass kids. The parents are some punk ass bitches because they're afraid of their kids and they don't discipline them and teach them some god damn manners. The parents of these bad kids don't need to be having kids in the first place because they act like they don't have time to raise their fucking knucklehead kids. I'm surprised i survived high school because there were times when i wanted to kill myself because i got tired of being dissed and laughed at daily for wanting to be somebody and learn something. Teachers and schools have no control over kids anymore.
They cant do anything. Detention? suspension? Expelled? These kids dont give a fuck about that stuff. They do what they want and no one can stop them. Teachers want the parents to do something, but a lot of parents either cant control their kids, or dont give a shit anyway.
Kids with potential get put in these schools and it gets driven out of them. They learn to accept less from their lives, because of their backgrounds, neighbourhood, race, whatever.

Public schools in the ghetto are a joke and they've been like that since i was going to school. I started going to school in the early 80's and shit hasn't changed with these schools in the ghetto since then.
I also think a similar thing happens with teachers.
Potentially good teachers loss their enthusiasm and drive to teach children. Because of the rules and curricullum in schools.
They spend their time dealing with unruly kids. They cant express their ways of thinking to kids because they have to stick to what 'needs' to be taught, for good test reasults etc.
