Lol at Madrid getting bet.
And yeah it was unfortunate for Torres although he was a fuckin idiot. Always liked Torres though and he had a really rough time at Chelsea.
wow wolfsburg. that was unexpected
I can't remember La Liga being this close for a long time, especially with 3 teams involved. Gotta give Atletico credit they are able to box with Real and Barca.
Leicester champions.
Possibly the greatest underdog story in the history of sport? i can only remember Greece winning the Euros that was equal to this.
Yeah pretty amazing, you may be right about that. I remember Verona winning Serie A back in the day when you had Platini's Juventus, Maradonas Napoli, etc etc
Fuckin hell they actually done it.
I cant comment on stuff before my time but even the old timers are saying they have never seen anything like this. Great for the sport when its surrounded by so much money and the only way to win anything is literally spend millions and millions. And a team of misfits (basically) who cost next to nothing beat all the billionaire clubs. In a cup is one thing coz but in a league over the course of a full season is something else. Spectacular.
Well the leagues are over and the Euros are coming up. My team Besiktas after 7 years won the Turkish title and we did it with no home stadium, the team had to journey around playing home games in various stadiums around the country. We even made Mario Gomez good again, 28 goals in his first season, compare that to Van Persie who sucked at Fenerbahce.
Now the Euros my money on France, I don't think Germany will win because i just don't see much desire in this German team.
wtf Atletico? missing a penalty and playing like crap.
Mexico leading the way in kidnappings
--- Kidnapped Mexican Soccer Star Alan Pulido Found, Rescued Safely
Kidnapped Mexican soccer star Alan Pulido was found and rescued safely by police, according to authorities in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas.
Pulido was kidnapped over the weekend by armed men after he left a party in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria in northern Mexico, officials said.
The rescue happened shortly before midnight involving federal and state forces, the Tamaulipas Coordination Group said in a statement released early this morning.
Pulido also received a medical evaluation, the statement said.
Gov. Egidio Torre Cantú visited the player to make sure he was OK and congratulated police for the successful operation, the statement added.
Pulido is a forward for Olympiakos of Greece. He was a member of Mexico's World Cup team in 2014.
The Greek team tweeted this morning that Pulido was with his family "safe" and "healthy."
Detail, including a potential motive, are still unclear.
Ruben Dario of the Tamaulipas state attorney general's office did not elaborate on the investigation, telling ABC News the family has requested privacy. :mexico:
France didn't play well but at the end of the day they got the players that can just win a game like that. An important thing to have in a tournament.
Worst opening ceremony by the way, was pointless.
Lol England they played well but the Russians have one attempt and score.
Theres been some serious violence in this tournament. English fans for the past couple days, today before the game the Russians joining in the party. Tonight Polish and Northern Irish fans having a fight. I can't wait for a possible Russia - Ukraine game in the next round. By the end of it all most of France will probably be destroyed.
