2 players from the Russian national team, Aleksandar Kokorin and Pavel Mamajev have been taken off the A team of their respective clubs after they'd ordered about 500 champagne bottles for a net worth of $280,000 in a Monaco nighclub (led by F1 legend Flavio Briatore)
there's some vids here, russian national anthem playing at the discotheque and epic amounts of bottles being passed around the club http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/E...lend/1.2706084 (can't embed, just skip the funny lingo at the beginning)
the Russian minister of sports says he'll be keeping an eye on all of the players of the national team with regards to 2018. I guess that means he'll make sure they'll spend more time on doping and less on partying
they're wasa russian dude who was dropped from his club team, to play in the b side.. cos of the something.. is your post related lee?, i think he played for zenit
Damn Portugal made it through. I hope either Germany or France towel them up
This Portugal side are built to win games, they haven't lost in a while. They have not played good football at all this tournament, yet they have reached the final. I wouldn't be surprised if they win it.
Wales were poor today, they didn't threaten Portugal at all.
Portugal had it easy so far. They only beat Croatia and Wales. All their other games were ties.
I think tomorrow's winner won't have much trouble with them.
i think germany is gonna take it
cr7 and messi are doomed to never win at the international level
Messi choked at the copa final and CR7 will most likely do the same
Bale had a good couple of shots
Portugal just dont have the defense to take on the likes of Germany or France
just finished watching first half of France-Germany. amazing how far back France played after those initial 8 minutes. some great playing by Germany mostly. penalty goal went against the dynamics of the first half
can't wait to see the second half in a few
Too many injuries and missing players for Germany, sad really. Overall it's been a very forgettable tournament like 2004 was.
toni kroos & mesut özil played well. kimmich & draxler too
I was really rooting for Germany damn. the lack of a real striker killed them in the long run I guess
griezmann was superb, has been for the last few games
This is how football is, the team which plays better makes 2 stupid mistakes and thats it. Germany were far the better side but the ball didn't want to go in for them. Pretty much the same result as the Italy semi-final 4 years ago.
There is no Miroslav Klose replacement anywhere to be seen which is strange because a pure goal scorer is something German football always have had. Once Gomez was injured that pretty much ended them, it's not just about a goal scorer but with only 1 striker in the squad it changes the shape and dynamic of the team they were much better with Gomez than Götze up front. I also think there comes a time when you can have too much possession, see Bayern deep in European competition. Maybe Reus makes a difference to the team if fit? Probably not since he goes missing in big games.
I hope France wipe the floor with Portugal. They're a good team who really haven't played to their potential yet. Iceland played well but they aren't the measuring stick. Good thing Atletici re-signed Griezmann early he's been the clear player of the tournament.
lol @ Galatasaray fining 13 of its players for the amount of yellow cards they received last season (they 'misrepresented the team'). Sneijder got hit with a fine of over $2 mill wow. looks to me like they just want to get rid of Sneijder and this is their way of showing him the exit
