One thing liberal democrat progressive neo-marxists never understand is that you can actually lower tax rates but still bring in more tax revenue. The tax rate is multiplied by the tax base. Liberal Democrat know-nothings always talk about a "tax rate" but don't ever talk about what the fuck you are multiplying a tax rate by ---> TAX BASE! If the tax base, which is individual and corporate income, grows then a lower rate multiplied with a larger base can still be and often is higher than a higher rate multiplied with a lower base. I've argued this with dozens of liberal democrats when I reference something as recent as the George W Bush tax cuts of 2003 and 2005 which led to immediate, consecutive years or high federal tax revenue growth. The Bush tax cuts increased federal tax revenue the next 4 years by near double digit percentages. Bush tax cuts were immediately followed by 4 years of huge tax revenue increases after two years of falling tax revenues under Clinton's old tax policy. Under Obama we saw stagnant growth. GDP growth was pathetically low. A tax policy that spurs large economic growth and even growth in federal tax revenue collections is attacked by liberal democrat progressive neo-marxist know-nothings as "trickle down economics." But this tax rate cutting policy is in fact allowing private citizens and corporations to keep more of their own fucking earned income. Why the fuck would you be against that? How is stealing less of people's money "trickle down" anything? What those same liberal democrat progressive neo-marxists want to do is confiscate MORE of your private earned income and more of businesses' income so that corrupt crony crooked politicians can spend it how they choose and tell you that the government benefits will "trickle down" back to you. There are many universities in my region and some of the post graduate students are the dumbest people I've ever met. Sure, they are intelligent when it comes to low gluten dieting, but the morons don't even know how a toilet works. They can't jumpstart a car or change a tire or do most of the things that require what used to be referred to as "common sense" which just happens to not be common anymore. Many of the "educated" people in the United States are the morons rioting in the streets, lighting trashcans on fire and living in their mommies' basements until they are 30 years old because they are so "educated" they have over $100,000 in student loans with a sociology degree that can't get them hired anywhere that doesn't serve fast food. Many of these lazy, unshaven, marxist professors went straight from grad school to adjunct professing and never spent a day in the private sector actually producing a good or service the general public was willing to pay for.
