I just watched Batman/Superman Apocalypse. was pretty bad ass although Batman had no place in it.
agents of atlas vs the doom patrol?
^atlas...they have a deity on their team. and a robot. and a gorilla. doom patrol has a robot and a giant bitch.
how is the current doom patrol series, btw?

The recent news that Zak Snyder plans on shooting "Xerxes," the "sort of sequel" to Frank Miller's "300" in 3D is a gentle reminder that the innovative "Sin City" and "The Dark Knight Returns" creator has never let a little thing like historical accuracy get in the way of a good story. It's a good thing too, because as demonstrated by the imagination of College Humor's Caldwell Tanner, Miller's retelling of some other major events would likely have resulted in a pretty awesome (if partially grim and/or gritty) timeline.
Although she never actually said, "Let them eat cake", there's no question this version of the former Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, likes to dish up her cake with a heaping side of fist.On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther made his disgust with the Church's "get out of hell free" cards public. Although he didn't go to the extremes pictured above, or break out into a rap song, it would have been way cooler if he did. Some scholars dispute whether or not Betsy Ross created America's first official flag. But. I don't think those scholars are going to argue with this version of Mrs. Ross, do you?John Wilkes Booth, as part of a conspiracy to overthrow the Union and give the Confederacy one last shot at victory, assassinated President Lincoln. History would have been way better if this happened instead. The Boondocks's Robert "Granddad" Freeman may have a problem with Rosa Parks for "stealing his thunder," but somehow I don't think Frank Miller would be doing history any favors with a portrayal like this.Marie Curie paid a hefty price for her scientific research, so any attention brought to her and her achievements in science can only be a good thing.
The images above may be jokes (for now), but Frank Miller is still working on "Holy Terror," his "It's not Batman but it still kind of is" vs. Al Qaeda book.
Who knows what historical figure or current event will fall on his radar screen when he's done? I'd love to see his take on the previous presidential election. If his book is anything like Alan Moore thought his run on Daredevil was, you know you'll buy it.

the new direction for spider-man, 'big time', sounds killer. i was actually considering dropping the title, but i will stay around...am i the only one that finds stan lee's backup hilarious in a completely dimwitted way? marcos martin's art helps, he's phenomenal.

Kiel Phegley: Okay, wait, how so?
Joe Quesada: Remember the twist I mentioned at the beginning of this conversation, this is what I was talking about. MJ unknowingly beat Mephisto at his own game. By agreeing to MJ’s terms, Mephisto has actually wiped himself from ever having been involved in their lives. In fact, looking at it linearly, those four issues never happened. Along with the wedding, "One More Day" and Mephisto have been wiped out of continuity and Peter and MJ never made that bargain.
there showing 5 mins of micro episodes of the avengers everyday til the show starts next month. started last week.

yeah, atlas would probably fuck up the doom patrol.
m-11 would definitely whoop robotman's ass.
namora prolly takes out big bitch.
gorilla man vs beast boy would be a good one. hard to call, but gorilla man is a cool, ruthless son of a bitch.
plus atlas has a couple more members.
another marvel/dc match-up.
batman vs iron fist in a straight up martial arts fight.
no gadgets. no armor. no chi powers.
hmmmmmmmm. lol
^probably iron fist.
does anybody read 'walking dead'? considering buying the 'compendium'....48 issues and i can get it for 40 bucks, so...
wtf happened to 'secret warriors'? the art was horrendous, and it feels like hickman chopped out a few arcs to wrap up the series quicker. very disappointing.
why the hell was i posting naked pictures in here? don't drink and post, kids.
yeah, im rollin with danny rand too. hes the best hand to hand combatant in comics, PRERIOD.
as far as the walking dead compendium, pandemic, DO IT!!! i got mine for about $30-$35 bucks and it was worth every penny. i read it waaaayy faster than i thought i would cause it was so engrossing. i even copped the hardcover that follows. walking dead is a great read.
completely agree on secret warriors. the last couple issues have been nowhere near as good.
no more atlas for the time being. that sucks. but parker & hardman are doing the red hulk book now and that almost makes me wanna buy it. hardmans art is some of the best and he could draw any marvel book and make it look great.
and never feel bad about posting naked women ,pandemic. i for one never tire of seeing nice, fit naked female bodies. lol
^oh me neither, lol...i was just drunk posting.
hasn't luke cage beaten fist in hand to hand before? and vice versa?
anyway, i'll probably buy the compendium next week, and i am pissed about atlas...as soon as i start buying it, it gets cancelled lol (this is why i was exclusively buying tpbs and hardcovers until last year)
as far as secret warriors, i enjoyed the howling commandos arc, but the latest issue was just a total misfire.
oh, and i caught up on chew since this week was so light...and it's still dope. i guess i was just in a bad mood when i dropped it.
where's batman? i mean the good batman comics. it feels like forever since ROBW came out.
yeah, cage has beat fist but thats with his power set. he already has an advantage, its like fighting goddamn colossus or ben grimm.
but you get a regular ass luke cage with no special shit, and danny makes quick work of him. lol
gotta say, avengers prime = one of the best looking comics on the market and worth every penny just based of that fantastic art by davis. put him on an avengers book ASAP!!!
another match up that was banging around in my head.
the metal men vs an assorted team of stretchy guys. like plastic man, reed richards, elongated man, i guess martian manhunter (i've seen him do it), and 1 or 2 more stretchy fucks. i just cant think of any at the moment. lol
^any team with reed richards will win.
alan davis is god...he actually drew avengers briefly when busiek was writing it...he also had a 3 issue run on FF that looked incredible.
I'm about to read 52 Volume Four by DC comics. I hope it's good.
^how have you liked it so far (i've never read it)
saw the new iron man anime. looks dope
i still have faith in whats left of SW..eloels, and did anyone read the booster gold lookin for batman shit?
episode 1 is up
dusk you going to nycc this weekend?
52 Volume Four is a good book. However, I am confused about a lot of things. I have to read Volume One, Volume Two, and Volume Three to understand what the heck is going on. Now, I do understand the meaning of the title "52".
The Black Adam thing is just plain silly. You mean to tell me that out of ALL of those superheroes, not ONE of them just take him out? I understand entertainment but come on!
^never read that series...i don't know why you would read volume 4 without reading the first 3...that's a serious faux pas, my friend lol
'walking dead' rules...why did i ignore this book for so long? this 'compendium' is fucking massive.
Deadpool Max was the shit..no pun intended..eloels, so was shield..and let me just throw a smh out there for the fact that Red Hulk will be in Avengers.
bendis needs to get off the avengers.
Return of Bruce Wayne #5 was insane. I need to read it again.
Did anybody buy those 'the road home' one shots? i bought batman and robin, and red robin...i'm debating whether or not to read them now or after morrison's saga wraps up.
haven't read anything else yet
i was gonna buy road home..decided not too..fuck it..eloels.

my spiderman back in black hc came in the mail only paid 7.50 for it lol
52 was pretty good. it had some shit worth following (the lost in space team up of animal man, starfire and adam strange was my favorite). but some was uninteresting.
it was a lot better than countdown. that shit was pretty weak.
and i thought back in black was pretty damn good. but when it went to the mephisto deal bullshit afterwards, i immediately stopped reading spider-man. what a waste. they had YEARS of new, fresh stories to tell now that peter was exposed by that douche stark. and i liked serious, take-no-shit, arm breaking spidey.
thanks for being spineless pussies, marvel editorial staff. lol
^hahaha awesome KZA
is the back in black hc the amazing spider-man stuff as well as sensational spider-man and friendly neighborhood spider-man? and the annuals? i might have to buy that too
main man, according to JMS, they already had OMD planned before Civil War started, so they intentionally painted Peter Parker into a corner to facilitate the retcon, while saying the new status quo had years of potential.
dusk, you made the right decision not buying the road home stuff...it seems even more pointless and irrelevant to the 'main story' of batman than battle of the cowl, and that was pretty lame overall as an 'event'.
the hc i got collected. i should have mentioned it was peter parker spider-man back in black lol my mistake
sensational spider-man 35-40, annual 1, spider-man family #1-2, marvel spotlight spider-man, and spider-man back in black handbook.
that spiderman shit is great
I purchased the 4 Road Home long shots but only read the first 2 so far. They sort of continue so I advise you to read Red Robin after Batman & Robin. It was a big week for me, i picked up 19 this week.
EDIT: I just finished reading the other two 'The Road Home' one shots. I thought they were pretty good and will get the rest of them when they are out.
dude...ROBW 5 was my fav. so far...lord in heaven it was brilliant.
#5 was interesting because the more that's revealed, the more mysterious it becomes...the whole thing was like a david lynch movie...i think the old man in the wheelchair is metron from the new gods, morrison did something similar in the seven soldiers: mister miracle miniseries (also about someone effected by the omega sanction)...when does #6 come out?
the road home stuff was terrible, pointless, and had crappy artwork to boot, the only reason i bought them is because my pull list was so light (bruce wayne 5, spidey, black cat, strange tales 2)
Not soon enough, Panda..eloels..Not soon enough.
