Here are some notes regarding WrestleMania 23 tonight:
* WWE Champion John Cena is scheduled to have the biggest entrance of the night. The entrance will have something of a "Motor City" theme with cars.
* The "Money in the Bank" Ladder Match is scheduled to open WrestleMania tonight unless plans change late. If they decide to go this route, it will be interesting to see who follows up the match as it is expected to "steal the show" so to speak.
* Batista vs. The Undertaker for the World Title is being designed as a "powerhouse brawl." Both are said to be very motivated to put on a great match, even more so when they found out they weren't going on last.
* As reported earlier, John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title is scheduled to close the show tonight. Every mention of Cena at the Hall of Fame last night drew tons of boos and every mention of Michaels got huge cheers. It will be interesting to see how that translates from a small crowd of 4,000 or so to 75,000 tonight at Ford Field. If Cena is booed out of the building though, no one in WWE will be surprised.
* Shane McMahon was reportedly pushing to open the show doing the same role Vince did at WrestleMania 3 where he introduced Aretha Franklin (Franklin will again be singing "America the Beautiful" tonight). Internally, it was said that Stephanie McMahon was trying to bury the idea to anyone that would listen.
* While it remains to be seen if this will take place or not, a dance contest of some kind may take place involving Eugene, The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young and the possible one-time return of Slick.
