yup. i did buy the 600th issue to see what the fuss was about.
^i think both of the runs suck hard but JMS is hit or miss for me...like the first 2-3 years he did spidey i thought were good and then the rest is just boring. the best stuff he's done recently was the silver surfer miniseries and thor imo
i think both superman and wonder woman would be easy to right for, it's just his overly earnest and heavy handed approach is ill suited towards those characters.
Spidey was good, im actually lovin that costume...whenever and however they introduce it into the series, and New Avengers was also particularly boss.
oh and Knight and Squire was good too, but there was like an art error on the 3rd page..hope it was just my issue..eloels.

why set up voodoo to be an actual part of the marvel universe for a change, just to do this to the man. im guessing hes not dead, but is gonna come back as an even more powerful wizard. kinda interesting that his deadman like brother is pissed off now. we'll see how that goes.

i wrote a massive post about the avengers books that didn't post because comcast is the worst ISP on the planet lol...suffice it to say i think they're still entertaining but the stories drag on to me and the doctor voodoo 'death' was stupid on a few levels...immonen's the main reason i'm still reading 'new avengers'.
i don't know if you'd like the batman books, at least the end of morrison's run...at the shop i go to people were in the store arguing about it when b&r 16 and robw 6 came out lol
the basically turned into a weird hybrid of occult acid trip headfuck, david lynch style narrative, and 21st century jack kirby space craziness.
i don't know how to describe it, it's definently a different style and take on batman and i can understand people being turned off by it that want a 'normal' batman comic, whatever that is lol

alan davis' art is just too damn good. i know its just cap, thor and stark meet lord of the rings, but its so nice to look at. when jrjr is up on the regular avengers title, davis would be great. id even like to see him on new avengers. and thor admitting to tappin hellcat was great.
and my soft spot for new avengers is mainly luke cage and jessica jones. i enjoyed alias that much that now im glued to the jones-cage saga. lol
its always hard to say if they're being serious with the x-statix crew.
but im really hoping so.

i did buy thor omnibus, ghost rider omnibus, sin city vol 3-5 and a new copy of batman arkham asylum today for like 85 bucks. good shizz.
i also picked up wolverine and the x-men season 1 on dvd for 10 bucks at toys r us earlier today. also picked up loki hc, death of jean dewolff, ultimate comics thor j scott campbell variant and some other comics that were 10-50cents each.
i did also get my weekly pulls this week too. kinda bummed that astonishing spider-man and wolverine didn't come out this week.
im prolly gonna pick up the dark knight returns and maybe superman/batman vol 2 tomorrow.

i didnt hate Batman 704 eloels expected less from the art.
^I thought it was pretty good, catgirl is still lame as hell but i did like the whole 1970s batman vibe i got from it...detective was much better, and batman and robin didn't suck...it was a huge step down from the last issue of course.
Oh and the last two issues of ASM were awesome...ramos impressed me and the writing was good imo

damn. uncanny x-force has surprised the shit outta me. im really really liking these first 2 issues. great art, story is interesting. spec ops mutant killer squad. i likes it.
brubaker is still killing captain america. zemo put buckys past as the winter soldier in the media and its making for a really good read.
thunderbolts #150 was pretty good too. seems like luke is getting a soft spot for the juggernaut. or he just realizes what an asset to the team he is.lol
and justice league:generation lost is turning out to be a really entertaining book as well. its paced like the justice league animated series. every issue being an episode. and i was like DAMN at what just happened between max lord, captain atom & magog.
