I agree... there are some natural qualities that one must possess to create dope music. However, if you are one of those who are blesses with the natural abilities, learning music theory doesn't hurt AT ALL.

What I'm getting across with about "music theory" in relation to Hip-Hop is that the more you know about music, the more you'll appreciate what you do. Some musicians just take influence and impact, but don't quite understand what makes what they do so important, entirely. Naturally gifted with making good music?.. that's good. I know people who don't know musical theory and make dope music. But knowing the origins and all of that, it really inspires alot of musicians. It's a different mind-set from the man who doesn't know about music. But I respect either side, teaching and guiding others about musical theory is just my thing lol thats why I made this thread..
