I agree...at least that Ref has the balls to blow the whistle.

Well the rule is that referees should call a foul if they see shirt pulling and all that nonsense in the penalty area.
but its soo common that if refs started calling it all the time. we would have a penalty on every corner attempt.
oh by the way i just remembered Polands goal was offside. so i dnt think they should be complaining about the penalty.
Exactly^
Especially when the guy gets a warning...like 10 seconds before the whistle blows...
And just does the same thing ?
Then looks all baffled by the call ?
I agree that it happens a lot...but it shouldn't.
And that should be the bottom line I think.
The change has got to start somewhere...
true indeed.
at the end of the day it depends on the ref. some will call it, others will wave it by.
the commentators made me laugh when they mentioned that the first Austrian scorer gets a lifetime of beer supplied, then they said they must all be tee-total. :D I felt really sorry for them actually, but they shouldve scored one of their big chances they had. So its not really bad luck.
I think france will get dickd on by the Dutch tommorow. At least I hope so.
I think it's a shame the final can't be Spain vs Holland
the semis and final will be entertaining
still alot of games left lets see whats up...
Get away with the fact that they don't play so good football during one stage, then they somehow off the backs of other teams go through it... And then win matches in the knock-out phase pretty.....I don't know what's the English word for 'being REALLY REALLY lucky'...Here in Serbia it's 'usrano',roughly translated 'shitted'...
Take a look at AC Milan... they finished fifth in the league, yet UEFA is considering to push them to Champions League because 2 teams from other countries (Porto - matchfixing, CSKA (Sofia) - no conditions to participate) were denied the position in the competition...
So that's what I mean by shitted. I would like to see '1-0','90' + 6' football take a smack in the face.
It not unusual for the team which isnt considered to have played the best overall during a tournament to win.
Its all about playing well enough to win games, at the right time.
The Milan point doesnt seem at all dubious to me, Milan are a team of the necessary skill level to compete in the tournament, and have the resources to do so.
I dont see how they are any less worthy that any other team UEFA selects.
I dont think Italy were particularly 'lucky' during the last world cup (maybe slightly...), they just won the games they had to, at the right times.
Yes, but I don't say they didn't play less-than-best overall, I say they play average, or good at most.
And Milan isn't really a team that deserves to be Italy's Champions League representative. They were knocked out in the First Knockout Round by Arsenal, fairly easily. And were not 4th in the league, I think since the early beginning. They were 8th at some point. Struggled, won some games, and were 5th. Barely. I really think they don't have the quality to be Italy's representative.
And I think Italy were really lucky last World Cup. Remember Australia. OK I understand Germany, they played well. But I think that if, as far the quality of the play is concerned, they were around 4th-5th on the tournament.
I just think Italy doesn't deserve this. Nor Milan the CL.
