He cant think straight when his stomach is empty...
it was ok. if u been a wu fan since 36 chambers then it was nothin new
the Hawaii footage may seem familiar because it the same footage from the Its Yours video
they talked 2 La Banga for like 5 sec. that was kinda erie being that he just died
Menace, Ol'dirty's brother in law was on there, his part was funny
U-God was basically unheard of until the credits were rolling
Steve Riftkin looks like he aged 30yrs
Production quality was lil poor, audio in parts was bad. It would seem that dude made the doc w/ his team then sold it 2 BET who did nothing but add a shit load of commercials
thats bullshit if you ask me. remember when CTV used to air Sopranos uncensored at 10 pm during the week? Canadian cable rules are actually way more lenient than US rules but maybe your friend is right because it was on too early. In Canada you can air uncensored programming but i think only after 10pm. BET is so fuckin WACK its not even funny. I never watch that shitty channel and I hear Wu is on so I'm finally like ok maybe BET isnt so bad afterall. i turn it on at 8pm and we got BET Now wackness. showing shitty ass bubblegum flavored videos. fuck BET! if i had a choice i would get rid of it completely and still pay the same for cable as i am now. either way i'm copping tuesday
Overall it was pretty good. U critics kill me, I was thinking last night I know these complaining ass fagots would be on here crying about any and every little gay thing they could think of, and sure as shit there they go. Shut the fuck up already. No one fucking cares what u think.."the sound was bad, blah blah blah. U dudes complain like little bitches.
Wu-Corp will always complain and bicker... one minute, people exalt RZA and the Wu... then, when something new comes out... people get behind the keyboards and -STRICTLY- talk down on the newer shit.. not even taking the time to take various listens and dissect how good and how "possible ahead of time" the track may be.... lmao thats why Wu can't drop anything here because these fans are unappreciative, ALL... THE... TIME!
It was dope... i wish more interviews with clan members would have been in it.. but i was in it!!! i was at the ft.lauderdale show and at the very end i can see me and my nigga in the crowd.lol
how come reakwons hood slang/ ghetto swagger always comes off like a spoiled 5 year old throwing a fit. i consider wu tang the greatest rap group of all time, but 75% of the time i hear raekwon bitch and wine every time hes on camera. makes it hard to believe hes the one who made "only built 4 cuban linx".
Very disappointing!!!
The Wu has an extraordinary story that deserves to be properly documented. What I saw last night was, at best, a reportage on an Hawaii tour and ODB's death. The film, or whatever it was, did not capture Wu's depth and philosophy.
BTW, the director seemed more interested in exposing himself than telling Wu's story.
true... i bet gza's film is gonna be 100 times iller
yeah, it wasnt "DEEP"....but i wouldnt say "very disappointed" for myself. I knew what to expect. a REAL wu documentary would need to be made by a die-hard wu fan that understands their depth, and would know the right aspects to focus on....if not a wu member themself.
the ODB part was so fuckin' sad though. when popa wu & divine were crying, i could kinda feel it.
what got to me or stood out to me the most was the GFK interviews. remember when GFK and rza were SO SO SO tight back in the day? remember their trip to africa together? damn!! then seeing what their relationship is like today.....that shit kills me. i cant believe as tight as they were that they cant overcome this shit.
after watching that last night, i went & threw "supreme clientele" on right away....and listened to it this morning again.
FUCK, i wish rza & GFK would patch that shit up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go ahead and spend 17 dollars on the dvd then. Sorry i expected a somewhat professionally done documentry rather then something i could have made at film school. A VH1 behind the music episode is more well done than that shit. Hopefully Gza's doc will be more suitable for the fans.
I agree that the documentary was crap, but Divine was on point. In fact Divine and Poppa Wu kept the film interesting.
If u think Damon Dash was right for going after dirty straight outta jail, then you're a blood-sucking, money-hungry, unethical mofo just like him. Upon his release from prison, Dirt needed help getting himself together - not mother fuckers and family members trying to exploit his talent for their own benefit.
In business, you need ethics. Without it you're fuckin doomed -- see Enron, Worldcom, and of course greedy-ass Damon Dash.
You should learn.
how can you be so sure?
the only thing that we know about this movie is that he was making footages during clan's tour in 2007, that he was collecting pics od fans having wu tang logo tatooed on different parts od their bodies' and that short clip that can be found on net isn't much different from the barclay's one.
don't get me wrong, i truly hope that gza's wu tang revealed will be dope, but from what we've seen so far i cannot be so sure that it'll be sth. special. still looking forward to it.
ii think that ason unique will be dope. odb's brother started making it back in the 90's. there must have been a lot od unseen footages in there.
