The other point I wanted to make was I bet somebody steals this idea before Rza and Cilvaringz are able to do it.

Yeah, it's not going to catch on.
Effective for press, sure, but that gun only fires once.
I'll probably go. It'll be an interesting event I'd imagine. But I still think that no matter the type of security involved there is still a good chance that it'll get leaked. And I also doubt that it will "revolutionize" the music industry. This is a power move that only a select few artists could pull off...and I'm not yet convinced that Wutang/Rza is still one of those artists.
I can see other artists doing this. Its not practical for obvious reasons for the vast majority of artists but for established, art oriented musicians its a possible route.
Pretentious douches like Kanye and Lady GaGa are bound to jump on the bandwagon.
Ah you're so annoying just say whats going on.
Nah this is the closest thing we have to hearing the album :

Fact is that not all of us will have a chance to hear this!
Any timeline, however general, for these bigger bullets?
My question is this. Will you destroy the Masters once this thing goes live or will you give them to the person/company who wins the bid?
Did I really read that this album is compared to seeing the Mona Lisa or starry night? Good lord.
Cilva....Do you think that this project, could earn Wu a Grammy nod. ????
Can't win a Grammy if the voters can't hear it.
Scavenger hunt would've been a funny marketing strategy. Discounted airfare, drink bracelets and bury that powder box in Mogadishu, Somalia.
See how many Wu geeks make it out alive.
Ill support the brand till the end. A wu fan is always die hard.
Ain't this gonna cost a small fortune? Just renting space or paying event organizers for all of this and even security. How much would it even cost to use up space in a museum these days anyways?
this guy is RIGHT https://www.facebook.com/BoycottSoul...?stream_ref=10
^everybody knows thats you jammin lmfao
LOL ! nah i never ordered from soul temple, im not crazy
i will pay your $50 to sit & listen to a 2 hour double cd in a museum.
but my form of protest will be me eating foods that give me horrendous tear inducing flatulence that smells like fresh shit & old eggs.
and i will release this putrid toxin upon the art gallery with a smile upon my face.
because i believe in freedom.
I think Jammin read the article wrong. He/she must have thought it said "Rza and Cilvaringz will double team Jammin's mom."
That is the only explanation for why he/she could be so upset about Wu-tang debuting their music in a museum.
Jammin' you either need to get some pussy or change your tampon.
All the big and well known Museums and galleries are free entry in the UK. You don't have to pay for any of them. But it will still be ridiculous listening to derivative, artless music in them.
No offence to Cilvaringz, he does what he does, but his 'beats' are not at the cutting edge of any type of music. I'm sure he'd be the first to admit he's not even trying to create progressive or challenging art. Everyone knows this. So it just feels ridiculous. Great publicity though, but if it's all a front for pub then it's just fake, and kind of money grabbing no matter what you say. You're not a concept artist.
Will this be coming to the Smithsonian in DC?
Massive congrats to Cilva for trolling the people on here like I have never seen people trolled before
The skill of sucking everyone in thinking they was going to be able to purchase a vintage sounding album but then tell them only a millionaire will ever be able to hear this in there own home, excellent troll work
Only trendy arty farty types will want to go to a museum to listen to music of any kind, most want to hear this on there own system in there own environment
I have never witnessed such selfish and greedy behavior from any Wu member or anyone affiliated such as this stunt, this is beyond immoral to do one album and think you will sell it for millions (which you will not get but probably get a few thousand for it in the end)
I can see many Wu members and affiliates being super pissed at Cilva for pulling this stunt off and reckon they aint going to let this slide as gone too far this time
This pretentious, self indulgence of music will not take off as people will just revolt against the artist and there integrity will diminish for treating there fans this way as too many musicians out there to step in there place and reap the rewards
I see a revolt coming and the tide will turn as this is the ultimate pisstake
Can see people within the Wu speaking there minds and taking action over this blasphemous act
Well, Raekwon has always been the most publicly skeptical Clan member and he has co-signed on Twitter. We know Masta Killa is on board. What about the rest of them? This is in their best interests, for sure. I just don't know yet if it's in the FANS' best interests. I just want to be able to bump this album in my car on a road trip.
ill tell u this...i dont like it...but this fucking thing is everywhere...ive had about 10 ppl ask me if i heard about it...good pub for the clan
skeptical this will ever see the light of day though...the wu is notorious for not coming through.
The 2014 Wu-Tang Plan for World Domination:
1. Fight publicly over money, to delay final album indefinitely.
2. Star in trashy VH1 reality shows.
3. Release a lead single that gives Wu-Tang fans exactly what they want - the smooth R&B stylings of Nathaniel.
4. Announce that the big throwback Cilvaringz & Wu-Tang double album will not ever be released to the public, and you'll have to pay $50 to hear it once, in a museum.
5. ?????
6. Profit.
This is NOT a publicity stunt. And its NOT the end of it neither.
Its lame though, what you seem to be advocating is no freedom for the consumer. Its shitty what the art industry does with priceless works of art that should have educational and spiritual value to the world. Instead they're in one corner of the world where they can't be seen, in museums that are out of peoples area or people can't afford or in the hands of people with unjustified wealth. I know that you keep saying theres more steps to your little plan. But you must surely understand it looks pretty bad at the moment if you look at its implications.
Even in the art world you can a print of the work, even if its not as good, its something.
Well, I Cilva's defense, it's shitty having your work stolen by 80+ percent of those who enjoy it. It sucks not making much money off of something that would have made you a shitload of money just 25 years ago. Think about it. It would suck for you too.
As a fan of Wu Cilva must admit that the Wu are nothing compared to what they once were, and his album is what we are all dying to hear, a fresh Wu on 90's Wu beats......so as a fan Cilva I hope in 12 months time I can play this CD in my car otherwise all respect for you and the Wu will be lost after ABT surely fails with lacklustre RZA production and RnB BS hooks.
As someone who makes some of my living from doing paintings, I actually really dig this idea in theory. My biggest beef is it's being sold as a Wu record, when really it's a Cilva record, featuring the Wu.
It's a great discussion piece, but, the difference between recordings and paintings is they can be mass produced. I personally don't do prints of my works, but, a lot of folks do, and they sell ok at cd type prices, but, it'll never be the same as looking at the original work.
A cd on the other hand, is exactly the same if it's copied. Especially if they're digital recordings. The way they're selling this would mean the box is the actual work of art.
If the museum tour thing comes to the Milwauke area, I'll go. Hell, I'll go to Chicago to support it, but it won't be to hear the record. It'll be to support the idea.
But, let's all be fair here. This isn't a wu-tang album. This is a Cilvaringz album, and since ABT is dropping soon, most folks are confusing the two. Which may be the master plan.
Either way, I doubt it'll happen. Cilva is making this sound like just a publicity stunt. Which undermines the dope parts of the concept.
Anybody else guessed the ending?
