I agree with that. Where I am from, Mexicans have immigrated and have been a positive impact on society for the most part . My city is still very segrated, the Mexican live in the south. Their main business district have blocks of Mexican owned grocery stores, banks, boutiques, restaurants etc. Blacks live in the North and it is there too many blocks of abandoned buildings with a barber shop or liquor store on the corner.

We shouldn't expect anybody to help us, we need to do it ourself, just like every other race. I would say the majority of blacks know these. There is still too many in the minority yet though to make it a reality. Its a struggle, and I wonder if it can ever happen.

Long post but I am compelled to defend myself. I don't expect many waste time to read this.

First, I will prelude this by honestly saying that I respect Hal and all the people who comment here. I respect Wu-Tang as musical artists and the charity work they've done and respect the fact that this is Cilvaringz' website. And I respect the moderators who Cilvaringz has entrusted to be moderators.

My ideas, thoughts, religious views, politics, opinions and comments are not reflective or representative of Wu-Tang or the owner of this website or others who come to this website. They are merely my own.

That said, I am not scared of hurting people's feelings or making them upset by challenging their ideas or opinions or religious beliefs or political beliefs. Frankly, people's emotional reactions to my opinions, beliefs and ideas are not something I concern myself with when I comment. I don't go out of my way to offend people here. I try not to engage in personal attacks and if I ever did it was probably just a failed attempt at being funny or teasing that didn't translate well. If you're offended because I criticized a Wu-Tang song you liked, or liked a Wu-Tang song you don't like, or criticized your religious beliefs or criticized your political beliefs, well, I'm actually not sorry unless you can persuade me that I misrepresented something, in which case I have enough humility and honesty to admit when I am wrong.

If that's the case, then debate me and explain why something I believe is horrible, reductive, or dumb. Show evidence to support that claim. It is quite possible some things I have said over the course of nearly 3,000 comments were indeed dumb or horrible. Especially over the course of nearly 15 years commenting here, sometimes sparsely. People who know me never accused me of being dumb. They have from time to time accused me of being an asshole, and sometimes I am. I didn't come here seeking out like minded people on any other subject than Wu-Tang. I am not a follower. I'm not scared of being called names. My half black children tell me they love me every day and their acceptance and love and affirmation is all that matters to me. They don't think daddy's racist. Strangers on the internet who think I am racist for supporting Trump calling me racist doesn't hurt my feelings in the least bit.

If politics are too toxic to discuss, or religion is too sensitive a topic, then we can make the subjects off limits even in the general chat section. Wu-Tang fans never struck me as being a wimpy, sensitive bunch of people. We can return to gay jokes, photo shopping dicks in peoples mouths, posting pornography and other pointless banter that arguably was toxic garbage in the general chat section. Sense-A, I read your whole reply as it is only fair to take the time out to read your reaction to me editing your post. I think you mentioned a lot of things that make sense (pun intended) in your reply, like some parts discussing religion, keeping politics out of other sections and me making jokes at the cost of others. Your post was well balanced and thoughtful and devoid of the anger I have sensed increasingly in some of your posts in the last two weeks or so. Sometimes I get the impression you write yourself into a frenzy.


As a non US citizen I am not familiar with Ilhan Omar and the extent of her hate speech. This, of course, comes with me being non American. Still, I don't know whether the part quoted by Ironman isn't very hateful either and actually instigating hateful action. There is a lot of anger in those words and that doesn't sit well with me. Is it a reason to censor? I have now become unsure after your reaction. I did not censor your post based merely on the picture you provided and her being black, but on the very description you gave of her as quoted by Ironman combined with her being black and what I took as the pinnacle of some angry posts you have made recently. You might say you would say the same thing about a non black person but I don't have the impression we've already seen that happen with the same viciousness.


I get what you were saying with the Hitler thread and censorship (ironically I closed the thread but I did get the point) but we're talking here about a guy whose death count is only second or third to Mao's and Stalin's. Thanks for the response and suffering my long boring defense. I'm a dad in my thirties, not a raging teenager. I don't go out and protest or get in people's faces. I'm not an activist. I avoid politics in church or at work and am careful at family reunions. I work 5 days a week and pay my taxes like every other schmuck and then rant about it (not as seriously as you think) to the half dozen people bored enough to read it on the internet.

I'm not really bunkered down with a MAGA hat on 24 hours a day with an AR-15 slung across my shoulder in full camo reloading shotgun shells with the Bible open to the chapter on Revelations. That's a caricature. But I think it's fucking hilarious that just the thought of that makes pseudo-liberals go off the fucking deep end and spaz out, put pink pussy hats on and scream at the sky. I'm not angry about the politics. I'm making fun of the people who are.
