oh man i spent an hour pressing f5 and i got my tix for comic con this year
copped my first spider-man issue in while (due to the new avengers cameo). not bad. isn't that homie from secret warriors doin the art?? his luke cage and iron fist were great. i'd love to see him draw those two in a new series.
and brubakers still killin shit on captain america. really entertaining series. the only thing that really sucks is they raised the price by a dollar and put a bonus story in the back of some female bucky character. its so wack i dont even know her fucking name or read the shit. but thats changing soon and i think steve rogers will have the bonus story instead.
and whats with this whole .1 issue thing marvel's doing? do we get a extra issue of some of our favorite titles? thats not a awful thing, even if it reeks of marvels amazing amount of greed.

i dropped cap because of the extra dollar + shit backup...the art on the mainfeature looks incredible though, i'll probably start buying the trades again.

batman and robin wasn't that great....flash, asm, superboy, secret warriors, wolverine were all better reads imo...gleason was boss, but it looks like he toned down the stylization of his art a great deal.
wolverine #1000 was surprisingly good though

^the illuminati series is good, but it's tied into to so much stuff...if you read that you'd best be prepared to read all of brian bendis' avengers titles from like 2004 to now plus house of m, civil war, secret invasion, and seige in order to get the most out of it...on its own, its pretty good, but as part of a larger tapestry it's more engaging.

Because , I was looking for detective comics #666 and can't find it in my city.Its the knightfall series where Bane fucked up batman and there was that replacement batman that was Azrael??? anyway I couldn't find it but I could always cop a Novel of the knightfall series cuz I think I seen one in borders before.

^there's no maxx series anymore, i think it's all in paperback
and i would recommend getting the collections instead of the individual series, unless you're jumping into new stuff...the x-force series is only on issue #4 so you might still be able to catch up on those
and the detective comics issue is in the second knightfall graphic novel i think.

he rebooted deathlok for marvel.
he was a co-creator of the milestone universe for dc, helping bring diversity to their lily white universe. statik shock was one of those characters.
and he helped write a lot of dc universe animated projects such as justice league unlimited, justice league:crisis on 2 earths, the new all star superman adaptation and more, im sure.
a true talent and a huge loss to us comic fans. your already missed.
