There are plenty of decent goalscoreres out there. In La Liga its ridiculously easy to score goas as you get so much space on the ball. They could buy either Freddie Kanoute or Diego Forlan and they'd score just as much as Eto'o (though I do agree with you Eto'o is class). Ronaldinho is the player the fans love, and brings the club a great deal of money in advertising and merchandise etc.
If Rijkaard does leave for Milan, then he'll only look to take 2 players with him: Marquez and Zambrotta, Milan need defenders who aren't going to retire in the next 2 seasons. Eto'o will go to the premier league, its the place to prove your mettle, and he loves Arsenal. Deco wiill no doubt leave as well, there's talk of Inter wanting him.
There will be some intriguing transfers this summer all the same. Milan and Juventus will spend the most, I would say. Obviously Real Madrid will spend big again, for what its worth, they've not won a major trophy for a good 5 seasons now (and may it continue, I can't stand Real Madrid).
