Yes, got kicked out of the house when I hit my step father with a brick,
got kicked out again when I threatened to burn down the neighbor's house and once more when I started skipping school.

Lived in the car, had a job at that time though so I'd go to a hotel every other night.
If you have a job for a long time just put away bits of money in case shit happens.
Where I'm from rent on an apartment is around $450-650 + you can seek a great number of shelters if you absolutely need to.

Cheaper and cheaper now to get housing + if you make under $35,000 a year(and have been on your own for at least 2 years) you can go to the local university and they'll pay you an additional $20,000 just to go.

Homelessness is a problem that is hard to understand when it comes to younger people.
You can work, if you gotta rough it out with a shit job just keep quiet and do as your told for awhile then expand your horizons slowly.

i was out on the streets after i got a court order sayin i couldnt go near the place of residence of somebody i had ended up livin with. but by that time it wasnt nothin cuz the streets was my full time workplace anyway, it was just a small step for it to become my home. fuck all that shit, i know everything happens for a reason and thinkin back on all that bullshit just makes me appreciate even more the working life

Plus seeing like a hundred homeless people a day is kind of a self motivation to make sure I never get that way

it was full of single mothers anngry at their fucked up baby daddies,
long story short, i got laid with mad hoes in a 3 months period!

i make piss poor money. i should be homeless. i give my sister 300 hundred a month. im pretty fortunate. face it without my sister id be on the streets.

I know ya'll don't believe me when i tell you i have a learning disability but i'm not lying about this because i've been doing research about it and i'm not doing research on purpose. I'm doing research about it because this is a serious problem for me and it took me a long time to figure out that something is wrong with me mentally because i kept losing jobs in the past and i had never applied for a high paying job because i'm afraid of good paying jobs because those jobs are challenging for me. I've never been good at having my brain challenged and figuring things out so that's why i've never had a good job. I want a good paying job but i'm afraid of applying for one because i'm afraid i'll get fired because of my lack of brain skills. Supervisors aren't gonna tell employees that are slow learners how to do their job over and over again because they feel like since they hired you and they trained you on what to do several times, you should get the hang of it and be able to do your job position on your own. Because if you can't figure out how to do your job, then they'll hire somebody else who can do the job.




My brother and i have been talking about going to see several psychiatrists to see what's wrong with me. If i do get diagnosed and i'm not able to work, then i'll probably be able to get a disability check even though i know it won't be enough money for me to take care of myself and that's what bothers me. I would still like to be able to keep my full time job i have now if i did get a disability check and there's a way i can work and get a disability check because i read about it when i got a letter from the social security company that says you have to make a certain amount of money at your job if you still wanna work and get a disability check. My social security letter i got said i would get a disability check that's $889 a month if i stopped working because of a disability.

This dude i work with gets almost 800 month because of a disability but he
still works landscaping and shit. You aught to give it a try and cheat the system
a bit...but if you really have a problem, than you might as wwell do it.
I think this kid has some problems and he is nearly illliterite but i kno he dont

I could get you a job if you really needed one that badly but if you dont have a car
and you take a bus to work, it probably wont work out. We've had people do that
and its a pain inthe ass for everyone.

I don't have any money saved to get my own place and i don't have any money saved to buy furniture because i don't make enough money at my jobs. I live off of Lee Rd which is Cleveland and i'm close by Harvard Ave. but i live close by Warrensville Heights and Shaker Heights.

Yea, i kno the area.....Shaker Heights is a fascinating place. You have million dollar mansions on one side of the street, and on the other you got straight slums.

Are you familiar with Larchmere???? If you take Woodland ave. east toward MLK, from Woodhill projects you pass thru the fuckin ghetto to Larchmere and attempts at gentrifictation and new condo's, than you cross N. Moreland into Shaker and you see mansions.......

how many hours is full time over there ?? over here its roughly 40 hours a week, so here it'd be like $440 a week which is about £220 before tax, about £180 after tax, and you got 2 jobs, i'm guessing the 2nd job is part time so it'd be roughly £250 ($500) per week, out of that what do you HAVE to pay out each week ?? thats without luxuries like, weed, alcohol, buying music, dvd's, name brand clothes etc if you're still living with parents then theres no reason whatsoever that you can't save anything when you got that kinda money coming in.

furniture is an easy thing, get that shit 2nd hand, nobody gives a shit if thats 2nd hand apart from stuck up snobs, any friends & family that are getting new shit will have some shit thats either gonna get thrown away or sold, get that shit from them, if its gonna get thrown away they'll give you that shit free, if its getting sold & they know your situation they might sell it cheaper to you than to anyone else, dont be too proud to take charity from friends & family, if friends & family dont want to help you then you dont need em in your life cos they aint friends & family.

Bronzbody my learning disability would have to be diagnosed by a doctor. I never saw a psychiatrist when i was in school. I didn't start realizing that i have a problem until i started losing jobs often and i wasn't smart enough to get a good job. NickyTooch iam familiar with Larchmere area you're talking about. That area is going past Van Aken area. I have a cousin who lives in a apartment over there close by Buckeye Rd.

Yo dunn, if you really got a learning disability which may cause problems of keeping your jobs (coming too late, not fast enough etc.) then I hope you will get that disability money from the goverment.

But you mention you got a cousin livin' in Cleveland, so why you don't go and live at his place for a while? After all it's your family....

I don't work 2 part time jobs. I work a full time job and a part time job. The money that i get from my part time job, i give it to my parents for rent. I don't wanna drive a delivery truck. I tried studying for the CDL test before and i couldn't remember what i studied. Plus my dad tried to show me how to drive a stick shift so i could learn how to drive a truck and i couldn't drive it the right way. I don't wanna try any other jobs because like i said, i have a learning disability. Janitorial/cleaning is the only job i'm good at and i can keep that job without having to worry about getting fired because it's not a challenging job. Challenging jobs are the ones that pay good money and i'm not good at those jobs. I wish i was good at figuring things out so i could get a good job but i'm not good at that. I would rather work than get a disability check because a disability check isn't gonna be enough money for me to take care of myself. That's why i'm gonna figure out a way to keep my job and get a disability check because i don't wanna sit around and wait until the first of the month to get a government check. It would drive me crazy having no money and having to wait every first of the month to get a government check.



Kliion Jensen, thanks for the advice about motels. You're probably right that it wouldn't be a good idea to live in a motel but if i had no place to live, i'd rather live in a motel instead of a homeless shelter or the ghetto. When i do get my own place, i wanna live by myself because when people live with you, it doesn't work out. Plus you can have peace and quiet when you live by yourself. My brother had several roommates who stayed with him and none of his roommates worked out.

The reason i don't have any money saved is because i spend it on music cd's, movies, clothes, food, shoes, car insurance, car repairs. I'm addicted to music and movies so that's why i spend a lot of money on those things. I love entertainment. My dad is always getting on my case about i don't do enough reading and studying so i can get a better job. He says every weekend i always watch tv for hours which is true. That's what i like to do in my spare time. See that's exactly why i need my own place so i can do what i wanna do and i don't have to hear my dad's mouth about what i need to be doing.

I have but things worked out better than I expected.

I'm homeless right now. The old lady kicked me out of the house again. I'll float for a few days, maybe find a party, but she'll be calling me.
