I was watching this movie a few days ago because i haven't seen it in a long time. Remember the scene when Bugging Out goes to Sal's pizza place and he asks Sal how come there isn't any pictures of blacks on the wall? Bugging Out had some nerve to ask him that when Sal owns the place so he has a right to do what he wants since it's his business. Sal had pictures of italian people on the wall so that's why Bugging Out said what he said. So Bugging Out tells Sal he's gonna boycott his business and Sal throws him out. Before Bugging Out said what he said, he ordered a slice of pizza and when the pizza was done, he looked at it like he didn't know how much it costs. Sal said are you gonna pay now or pay on layaway? LOL. Sal said are you a retard? You come in here twice a day and you ask the same question about how much it costs. It's $1.50. Then another scene Radio Raheem comes in Sal's place blasting his boombox and he tries to order a pizza with the music blasting LOL. Sal told him when he comes in his place, he doesn't wanna hear his music. Later on during the end, Raheem and Bugging Out come to Sal's to start some shit. Raheem comes in Sal's again with the music blasting and Sal is screaming at him to turn it off but he doesn't. Bugging Out is hollering at Sal talking about we are shutting you down unless you get some pictures of blacks on that wall. So of course Sal takes a bat and fucks up Raheem's radio and they end up getting into a fight which also leads to other people in the pizza place fighting. All this shit started because of Raheem and Bugging Out's ignorant asses. Then Spike Lee does some ignorant shit by taking a garbage can and throwing it through the window of Sal's place because Raheem got killed by the cops. Raheem wouldn't have gotten killed if he hadn't been ignorant. I know this same type of shit happens regularly in the ghetto.


There was another scene that made me laugh when John Turturro said when he comes to work for his father Sal, the neighborhood he works in is the planet of the apes hahahahahahahahahahaha. He was referring to blacks as apes.

So those that deal with that struggle daily shouldn't express themselves? Maybe some who listen to their music identify with it. Not because its a reality they don't know or understand but rather one they deal with on a constant.

White people have been flocking to black music waaaay before hip-hop ever came around. There's really no such thing as "black music" only music that has black orgins. I say this because once a sound becomes universal there's no real way to take it back.


What is the line between promotion and expression?

speak english. I think the government in america should enforce a law to make foreigners take english classes to learn to speak english. Hispanics are really the only ones who are refusing to speak english. Asians and arabs are speaking english when they come to america. How do hispanics expect to communicate with their american co-workers so they can get better paying jobs when they refuse to learn our language? I got several hispanic female co-workers at my job and they only speak their language. That's why they usually talk to each other and not americans. This shit is getting outta hand because it's not fair to homeless and unemployed americans who don't have jobs and hispanics are continuing to get jobs when they come to america. America is fucked up. This country would rather hire foreigners who don't speak english rather than hire americans. I also read a article in the newspaper last weekend about white people in Georgia are moving outta their neighborhoods because the hispanics have moved in their neighborhoods. The white people are saying that their old neighborhoods used to be beautiful and peaceful. Now since the hispanics have moved in, the neighborhood looks like a slum LOL. White people say that the hispanics park their cars on the grass LOL.

i doubt that the majority of white people feel this way.

I think that we could easily destroy the language barrier by teaching both English and Spanish to children in schools, starting in Grade School.
'they' shouldn't be expected to be more like 'us'
especially not if 'we' wont make an attempt to learn their language.

.. Most "foreigners" don't speak english fresh off the boat .. You notice that Hispanics tend to not know enguish because there's more Hispanics than there are Asians, Arabs, etc .. .. You might see it that way for some reason but lil dude who's at home listenin' to it in his room sees that rapper who's spittin' about haters , guns , sellin' drugs & treating women like trash as a role model .. Soon after that lil dude's beggin' his mom to get him the same sneakers the rapper has and if his mom can't afford it he does what the rapper would do & he starts sellin' nicks to his friends ..
