ya...lets see how that turns out
2 shops I went to ran out of Daredevil 2...
Wolverine 14 was just damn crazy...
Wolverine #14...I thought that was how the "revenge" was going to end up, it was still effective though, Jonestown twist and all...but I loved how the one kid ended up in hell alone...this story was like the longest EC horror comic ever...I can't wait to go back and re-read the whole thing eventually.
Am I the only one in this thread that actually has a pull list set up at his shop?
I have one too but I just need to cut back on titles.
don't know if you use http://www.comixology.com/ but I use to add my pulls since I know my LCS ends up not putting in a book or two on my list.
^yeah my pull list is bloated as fuck, especially with the dc relaunch coming...my marvel pulls need to be cut drastically, but i like everything i buy right now lol
i got a list too
my favorite shits from DD#2.

So!!! What did everyone think of JLA#1? I really liked the art and I thought the story was ok for a debut issue, nice little intro to GL and Batman and a decent cliffhanger at the end to keep me interested in buying issue 2. I did however find it a pretty fast read for $4! Is DC not holding the line at $2.99 anymore? Anyway I'll stick around for the first arc and then probably go back to waiting on trades.
ya it was good, pretty interesting, and Jim Lee is a boss of course..but my stand out issue this week was fuckin X Force...dear lord do i love that book
x-force was awesome..."genocide" is such a cool character, obviously he's holocaust from the aoa universe, but it's such a cool characterization married to that visual...opena and remender kick major ass
gotta give jla#1 a thumbs down, lee killed the artwork (some of the GL constructs were really nifty, especially the force field), but the 'story' was super-thin, there was like 4 scenes in the whole thing...reading it right after reading x-force #14 really highlighted the "pacing problems". imo it should've been a "double sized" issue and had something resembling a whole story, or at least a satisfying reading experience...go compare x-men #1 from claremont and lee and JL #1...I know writing styles change and the x-men issue is 20 years old... but even aside from that, on a basic story level and actually utilizing the pages more effectively to tell the story...so much more shit happens, the plot is way more dense...it's pathetic really.
I didn't have a hard time finding an issue of Justice League another shop had plenty of copies in stock. My main store made it on the news about the reboot. I had to drive a bit down further to get Daredevil 2 today..

"there were too many...they all came so quickly"
"it's too easy, wade...just leave it alone"
*dead
this is the best deadpool i've read in years
seriously^^ i laughed so loud when i read that lmao
What #1's is everyone buying this week? I'll probably go with Action Comics, Detective, Swamp Thing, and Animal Man.
action comics
animal man
stormwatch
swamp thing
^these are some of the titles I'm most intrigued by/looking forward to, so I'm especially stoked; otherwise, I think I'd just be getting mystic and wolverine this week
thought about buying detective, but tony daniels kind of sucks as a writer, lol...I may still buy that, dark knight and batgirl on impulse, though
fuck dark knight, finch cant write for shit eloels.
forgot about Batwing, im checkin that out
swamp thing and animal man are the business
passed on stormwatch because the art was terrible lol
passed on detective because the dialogue was terrible
I got Action, Detective, Swamp Thing, Animal Man, and Static Shoc. I wanted Batgirl but it's sold out all over the city. I also picked up Punisher #2,3 and DD#2. Ahhh So much on me waiting on trades! The relaunch is killing that idea!!
i still find the series to be stupid, like..why do it? too many bat books
Action Comics was also the business btw
i think the only batman book i'm getting is "batman" lol...batman and robin has been useless since morrison left...if they weren't being greedy they would made the batman group of books alot smaller than it is
action comics was pretty cool, i liked animal man the most i think
ya i jus read animal man on the john, sick shit, very clever first page
copped animal man, but havent read it yet.
am i the only one who sees the dc relaunch in the same light as the shitty "heroes reborn" thing marvel did in the 90s? dcs is more drastic, but its pretty much the same thing.
shitty crossover event that leads to all new number #1s while destroying any continuity that long time readers had.
i wouldnt say all...think i see where theyre going..all i kno is taht the creepy hooded figure dude is fuckin with my head eloels.
Finally found Batgirl and along with Animal Man are my two favorites this week from what I bought.
Out of curiosity is anyone buying them all?
All my local stores only have copies of hawk&dove, statik shok, and batwing left. Everything else has sold out! It's actually craziness at all the shops this week. Good for comics! I hope it keeps up.
i aint buyin all of em eloels..too many
hawk & dove would probably make a good toilet paper alternative. lol
anybody get swamp thing?
how was it?
it was awesome
swamp thing was cool, i was a little disappointed (needed more shambling muck mosnter)
Anybody read Detective Comics, Batwing or Batgirl? If so how were they?
i read DC and BW, theyre were ok...idk where exactly DC is goin but the art is pretty good
this is pretty cool. it has some easter eggs.

that art looks dope
sooo....most of the relaunch books are fucking terrible lol
re: batman and robin #1...not digging the writing at all...what's with all these quick ass reads? batwoman was ace though
x-force was super boss...daredevil and spidey were also prime, although with spidey...the last page reveal just had me saying "uh...who is that? Am I supposed to know you?"
ur too harsh a critic panda..thats it eloels.
