Dr. Simon Hurt

he comes off as such a douchey clown lol...but he is definitely a talented writer, i think he just overextends himself and sometimes the execution of his ideas dosn't live up to their potential (Secret war, secret invasion)...he's really good at the street level characters though. I think he would knock a Luke Cage book out of the park, or even if they revived a set-up with cage, iron fist, misy knight, and colleen wing it would be good.

ya the artwork in 501 was phenomenal. de la torre is so underrated. have you been reading wolverine:weapon x? one of the best books marvel is doing right now. brutal stuff lol

i have been^^ that shit is dope...but apparently theres gonna be new art...*sigh* good story, tho the end was mad predictable for the last arc.

and ya, i agree Bendis is the man, but...he should have that much control..eloels.

^^^the ending was somewhat dissapointing, with maverick's 'i'm fine, by the way' not being explained, andthe blackguard ceo surviving, but logan shooting missiles at the oil rig from the helicopter was badass lol

on the art front, yanick paquette is a good penciler, i think he's alternating arcs with ron garney. they better not lose garney, he's the perfect penciler for this type of book.

doctor voodoo #1 was pretty good, i'll give it a shot for now.
i got house of mystery halloween special, i have't read it yet, it has an i,zombie story in it.

this is clearly a huge thread and cant read it all but did you guys finish up Old man Logan? IMO that was one of the greatest Marvel stories ever. Also just got the final 100 bullets GN excited to finish that shit up.

ye OML was discussed 2 or 3 pages ago. it was pretty crazy.

i forgot about 100 Bullets. i remember the art was pretty amazing tho. wasn't Azzarello on that project?

anyone read Web Of Spiderman? the cover looked pretty good.
that weapon x story has been solid. a good chase story.
the issue where he lit the gas with his claws was kinda lame... well that part anyway (#4 i think) but its been good

anyone seen the covers to Adventure Comics??

web of spiderman a new ongoing series? Also I rarely read DC, since I was a kid I always thought they were too perfect but a friend of mine just made me read flash unborn and Im hearing tons of stuff about the green lantern blackest night so guess Im going to have to do more research. That goes without saying I still read some of the batman and all the vertigo shit. Also yes azarello is the writer for 100 bullets, havent read anything shitty from the dude yet

i'm reading the tomorrow stories series right now...great anthology book...wish i had been buying comics when these were out...all of the ABC books Alan Moore did are aces.

wish i had been buying daredevil regularly...i have to fill in the holes between the brubaker omnibus and issue 500...i'm kicking myself for not following this.

vertigo's books are probably the highest quality...i read fables, unwritten, house of mystery, and madame xanadu; and i've read sandman, invisibles, transmetropolitan, and y the last man and those are all among the best comic series i've ever read. i need to get 100 bullets and preacher though, and i've heard air, scalped and unknown soldier are good.

abanks, you should try 'chew' from image comics if you want something a little more unconventional. it's only on #4 unless 5 came out already and my shop fucked me lol

i loved Y: TLM... so much i wanted to take it out behind the middle school and get it pregnant.

im thinking i should go back and find the 100 bullet issues.

Halloween Annual was pretty good. i remember some scary kids show called goosbumps i think. kinda reminded me of an episode of that lol
