Poetic, whats to shake the head at? I hate the cookie cutter, straight teeth cats at DC, but I was basing it off of appearances. I got into comics for the art and Vertigo and Marvel had it covered when I got into it. I hate looking at Superman. I like the gritty shit, punisher, iron fist and daredevil. I like blood and killing in my comics.
^^^dc stuff is just as violent though, green lantern has been bloody as fuck for a good minute lol
matt fraction needs to be fired and then have every scenario described in the 'torture' skit done to him. and then all of the x-men titles except uncanny and x-factor (not counting wolvie or deadpool here) need to be cancelled and uncanny needs to switch to the same format as amazing spider-man.
fraction's run may be the worst i've ever read on x-men. i'm sure there are worse runs, i've just never read them.
shoehorning namor in and bringing magneto back and it still fails to be compelling or interesting. it's just tedious and the tone of the writing is so snide and condescending.
i know i bitch about fraction every time a new issue comes out, but it's so off to me...probably any of us who post in here could come up with better x-men stories lol

batys had some good art in the recent year or so.
i concur that marvel & vertigo had the art game on point...
especially with daredevil... punisher-- eh, not so much that i liked.
